Product description ------------------- 1.2 General The LMIV introduced mandatory information on sewing value declaration, instructions for use and information on the country of origin for goods from abroad. This information must be applied to all pre-packed foods, even if they are intended for further processing (for the definition of "pre-packed food", see Art. 2 paragraph 2 letter. e LMIV). Before the LMIV comes into force, this information only had to be declared on packaging intended for the end user. The labelling requirements of the LMIV are essentially also mandatory for non-pre-packaged food (so-called "loose goods"), whereby certain exceptions apply here.
