Too advanced for me.
I found it very hard to read with a very academic writing style. Dense and lots of biological vernacular. I do not know what level the book is intended for (what year in Canadian Universities). Unfortunately the authors and publisher don't say. My guess is senior undergraduate or graduate level. I wanted background for reading the classic "Molecular Biology of the Cell," but this book is harder than that. I have put it aside for now and am reading Berg et al Biochemistry, a first year text, which is much easier reading while covering much the same content. The classic Lehninger Principles of Biochemistry is very tough with my consulting a dictionary for obscure words two or three times a page.
