Dromida Ominus Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Quadcopter Ready-to-Fly (RTF) Drone with Radio System, Batteries and USB Charger (Green)

So after 2 weeks almost of flying this, I am now reviewing it. I figured I would give it a little time to review it. So, first thing, packaging. Packaged very well, enough air bubbles in it to protect it. Second, The product. After flying it around for about 3 days, I noticed it flying awkwardly, so I put it up for the night, charged the battery, and came back the next day to find that my rear left motor had went bad. I called Dromida/Hobbbico and told them what had happened, They promptly shipped me out a new motor (under 90 day limited warranty.) I received my motor 2 days ago, and have been flying ever since, the motors are a little weak for aerial maneuvers, flips seem a little hard in a small space, but outside there isn't a problem. This is my 3rd quad, and I bought it because of all the hype of it being "durable" and "well built," well, I've put it through it's paces, and all I have to say is Wow! I wasn't expecting this quad to be as fast as it is, as maneuverable as it is, or as nimble as it is for the price range! ($50-$150 range) But I was quickly surprised at how this thing flies, and how it reacts. The controller is a little awkward to get used to, but if you play video games, you'll get used to it very quickly. I have been flying this thing non-stop since I got the new motor and received my spare batteries, if you want this quad, take it from me.....BUY BATTERIES! This thing is too fun for 6-7 min flights haha! I have been flying this, and my Dromida Kodo every day. I will be purchasing the FPV version when it's released! I love this quad for the price! So after the price, the durability, and the customer service behind it, this quad gets an easy 5 stars in my book. The parts for it are super cheap, after replacing the motor, the body (which was my fault), and replacing a propeller, this thing is back up in no time. Beginners, or advanced pilots will love this thing!

Wow, you have surprised me and made me smile on my first flight. The Ominus is so stable and responsive in flight the various flight modes are easy to access. And change at the press or click of a bitton. This sturdy and durable mutant Quad Copter is so much fun to fly i cant believe it. It also giver the confidence to the user to be able to make mistakes and not have to pay for every one. allowing a beginner to learn something about flight orientation before the craft becomes damaged. This Omnius Quad Copter has demanded some respect by way of its durability and ease of fly, that i have to share the love with the La Trax Alias and the Dromida Omnius Quad Copter. I got this as a Christmas present for my bother, but ended up spending a lot of time playing with it. I normally fly small collective pitch helicopters (I would say "intermediate" experience) and my brother has a little less RC heli/drone experience and we both had a TON of fun with this thing. With the various sensitivity settings built in (basically the same as DR/Expo) it will work for everyone regardless of their previous experience. You can easily learn to fly with this drone - it is absurdly stable in hover which would make it easy for any beginner, you can almost throw it up in the air and take you hand off the cyclic completely and it'll just sit there. It isn't good for indoors at all since it is too big (though, you CAN fly it indoors if you really wanted and had a really, really big living room), though it wasn't for a lack of trying - you can definitely hover it indoors, but I couldn't do circuits. It took a bunch of crashes indoors off walls, furniture, etc. and kept right on going so it is super durable. The wind didn't toss it around all that much and it is surprisingly quick - much faster than I expected. Overall, it was incredibly fun and for the price which includes the TX, I don't know how you can beat it.

Fragile. I realize these drones are built to be light, and they aren't going to survive abuse. But they are designed to fly, and even in the most experienced hands you're going to have an occasional crash. Bought this as a Christmas present for my son. Lasted one and a half battery charges before two of the motors burned out. Waited all weekend long. Called support, and to their credit they shipped me two new motors. I also ordered a spare set of everything on Amazon that day- it might have been cheaper to buy another drone. Since then it's lasted two weeks of occasional use and now the left rear motor doesn't spin. I replaced the motor, still doesn't spin. I've tried the reset procedure listed in the manual but the drone doesn't respond like it supposed to, it just tried to fly instead of recalibration. So I'm guessing the brains are shot. Meanwhile we bought a cheapo nano drone for my other son. It's been through all kinds of wrecks, even took a swim in the pool, it's crashed so hard the motors popped halfway out- but it still works flawlessly.

Reasonably sturdy, but should come with a full repair kit including a spare tire(motor)! So far, nothing has broken but we treat it like its about to at any time. Also, battery is really short lived, consider purchasing a spare if you get this or any quadcopter. The upshot to that is that when at home, it provides an automatic time limit of fifteen minutes. This means my boy can get a quick break, then go back to studying or emptying out the refrigerator, both are major hobbies for him. Cost/ benefit: worth it, but treat it with a bit of respect if you want it to last for more than a few sessions.

Crap. First one lasted 2 days. 11 yo boy kinda flew it for day and a half. Left joystick quit working. No drops or anything. Return easy. What did I get in return? A replacement which does not work. Instructions all wrinkled, leading me to beleive it is not new out of the box. Left side props not working at all. Returning for refund - hoping for a better experience next.

Flies great and lots of fun but not totally indestructible. After 3 days one of the arms broke where the motor attaches. The weakest part of the arm as well. Arms are part of the entire mainframe not individually replaceable. Not an expensive part, less than 5 bucks, but not looking forward to taking apart and rebuilding the entire thing. Also using the lectron pro 750 mah battery which are great. Longer flight time and cheaper than stock battery Edit: so after watching this videohttps://youtu.be/AoCBm3Nu6sM I saw this guy had same exact damage that I had. So I took his advice and I'm back up flying. I just used a good motor cover off one of the good arms and swapped it with the broken one. The broken motor cover will work fine on a arm that's not damaged. A simple drop of crazy glue was all I needed. I just couldn't wait till monday for the frame and motor covers to be delivered. So I'm changing my rating to 5 stars cuz this thing is so much fun and replacement parts are very inexpensive. Thank you bash or die youtube guys

This was my first Quadcopter. Didn't take long to learn. Crashed it dozens of times and it still works. Goes out far enough you can hardly see the lights. Recommend buying driveshaft replacements though as a few crashes will bend them and your blades will be slanted. Battery lasts about ten minutes. Great first Quadcopter! My dog loves to chase it and he has caught it out of the air and chewed it up about 100 times. The thing is literally so durable. Ive crashed it on the concrete, in trees, on my roof, let my dog chew it. Maybe I'm just lucky but it hasnt required any maintenance more difficult than changing a gear, blade, driveshaft or motor. All can be done in ten mins. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a really durable quadcopter. I purchased a few more batteries for longer flights. This really helps you learn how to fly faster or else youre waiting 45 mins inbetween flights. The battery charge is very good for the size though.

Ich habe zwei bestellt, einen für meinen Vater und einen für meinen Freund. Die beiden sind sehr zufrieden. Wird bei einem Absturz nicht gleich kaputt und lässt sich auch gut fliegen. Wir haben uns einen extra Akku und ein besseres Ladegerät dazu bestellt, da der Akku nicht sonderlich lange hält (ca. 20 Minuten). Alles in allem, für den Preis aber wirklich gut.

Funciona muy bien mientras funciona. Horrible experiencia, compre uno y lo devolví cuando murió un motor después de 3 días de uso y la misma situación para el segundo que compre. Un conocido compro uno y a la semana y media la batería se había inchado aún con la baja potencia y cuidado del cargador incluido. Muy divertido de volar y se ve muy bien en el aire pero sufren de problemas de calidad.

Alles gut. Kam, flog und machte Spass. Sehr solide gebaut und einfach zu handhaben. War/ist wirklich auch sehr robust. Bin nur im Zimmer geflogen. Abstürze und Wandkollisionen haben nichts ausgemacht. Momentan Zwangspause - denke ich habe den Akku nicht korrekt aufgeladen. Aber um allererste Flugerfahrungen zu machen ein prima Ding.

Dreadful. Son was never able to fly it and as it was opened on Xmas day was a crushing disappointment. NOT worth the money at all so flimsy even in the expert hands of my teenager. Sent it back in disgust. Customer service rude.

En el primer vuelo, se le rompió una pieza, me duro 20 segundo (literal). No es un producto que recomendaría.
