Pignose7-100 Legendary portable amplifier

I bought this for my son's birthday. He told me that all it did she he plugged it in wa distortion. He brought it back to me and gave me a demo. My god, it was terrible!!! Just loud noise and when he plugged his guitar in, wow! It was really bad. I will never use this seller ever again. Use this seller at your own risk! Complete waste of time! I had to give it one star, if I could, I wouldn't have given it any

I have wanted one of these bad boys since I saw one in the movie "Crossroads". I have had other portable amps, but finally decided to get a Pignose. I wasn't disappointed. It carries 5 watts of grunt that belies its size. There is no separate tone or drive settings - to go from clean to distorted you just turn the snout-shaped knob all the way up and use the volume and tone controls on the guitar to get the desired sound. You can also open the body of the amp like a suitcase, which also offers tonal variations.I have been using mine in conjunction with my Danelecro Dano '63 to play slide and am really happy with it. I definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a decent practice amp that you can go busking (or camping) with. I can't vouch for the battery life - it runs off 6 AA batteries - but past experience with portable amps would make the purchase of an AC adaptor (not included) - a sensible choice!

The product is faulty and does not work. It would be too problematic to return it so I will simply suck it up and dump the item

One control ... Too much distortion... Crap really... Don't bother

when opening the box and seeing the size of it i thought i may have made a mistake but my thoughts were short lived it has no ac lead with it but does take 6 aa bateries for a 5w amp this is powerfull the sound is amazing you can buy an ac lead from pignose but they are about 30 quid dont bother the batteries last a long time playing 2 or three times a week for a couple of hours they lasted 6 months overall this is a cracking amp

not as small as a strap on amp seen in school of rock but not as big as sum street amps you see buskers use. either way it produces wonderful sounds and has a unique difference in sound depending on if its open or closed. ive found batters i use run out quite fast and sound becomes distorted when this happens so take a power adapter with me now as and when i can use one
