I have an older Toshiba satellite C655 that started to have issues with the power jack at about 3 years old. For a few more years I just had to jiggle the power plug to get contact, but that got increasingly difficult over time. This is a perfect replacement for that unit that you can replace without any soldering, with just a couple of basic tools and some patience. While I had the laptop stripped down, I cleaned it out really well with compressed air -especially around the fan and the heat sink fins- and everything is working like new again.
