Cleaned the rust with no scrubbing in 24hr soak
Had a bucket of expensive router bits that had gotten surface rust. I keep them oiled but rusted anyways. Soaked them in this stuff for a day or so and agitated a few times. They came out spotless and needed no cleaning. Rinsed, dunked in alcohol to displace water and oiled them up again for storage. Great stuff and no heavy smell.

Evapco rust remover
Was sceptical because of the low price. But I've been using CRC products for many years. I needed to clean my outdoor griddle that had been sitting for about a year. I cleaned the grease off first like the directions said to do. I then poured the whole bottle on to the griddle and let it set for a day . The rust came off pretty easy. I would recommend it for small jobs like this.

rarely am THIS impressed with a product.
cut the top off of an old water bottle and let it sit for 48 hours - the rust just wiped off with a paper towel. found a Gerber Multi-tool and Swiss army knife - they were in good shape, just must have been left in a wet place for over a year. Wasn't sure they'd be worth saving, they were so rusted. had to use pliers to pull out blade on knife - and the file on the multi-tool was just solid red brown, couldn't really see the ridges on it. so WORTH using this product. wish had before and after photos because, personally wouldn't have believed they are the same items. They look almost brand new.

Not for heavy pitted rust
I’ve used Evapo Rust on a handful of small projects, and it does work with some limitations. It does a good job removing light surface rust and cleaning up parts that just have minor corrosion. If you’re dealing with light rust, it’s pretty much a soak and rinse solution and it saves a lot of scrubbing time. That said, it does not perform miracles. Heavy rust or deeply pitted metal didn’t come clean for me, even after extended soaking. One big plus is that it doesn’t have a strong chemical smell like many rust removers, which makes it much more pleasant to use in a garage. I also appreciate that it’s environmentally safe and non toxic compared to harsher alternatives. Overall, it’s a good product for light duty rust removal, but not the right choice if you’re trying to restore heavily rusted or pitted metal.

I'm impressed
Don't bother wet sanding or using steel wool, this stuff works. I did a few tests since I can't submerge this cast shaper table. I soaked a doubled up blue shop towel with it using a sponge brush and covered it with plastic wrap. This is less than 24 hrs and only wiped clean with isopropyl. It needs more work, but I'll take it as a great start. Works as advertised, would reccomend.

I cleaned up the rusty wrench I keep in my hiking kit
I picked this up because the small wrench and pliers in my hiking kit had started showing rust after a wet season, and I wanted something simple for cleaning metal at home. I poured some into a jar and soaked the wrench after a muddy weekend hike. The rust loosened enough that I could wipe it off without a lot of scrubbing, which made cleanup easy before my next trip. I like that I can save and reuse the solution for another batch of small parts. It’s handy for trail gear and garage odds and ends. Seeing that wrench ready to go again made me glad I bought it.

Very pleased it worked exceptionally well on antique steel clock parts
I was very surprised and pleased at how well this removed rust from steel parts on an18th century clock, easy to use and great value. It worked faster when used with warm/hot water. Item must be immersed for best results.

This stuff is magic
I soaked some rusted drum and guitar hardware overnight and the rust virtualy disappears. Might require a tooth brush and elbow grease to finish the job, but most parts came out perfect without scrubbing. I also recommend a product called "Dry Coat Rust preventative spray" to use hand in hand with this. My process is: Soak > Scrub if required > Put items in a plastic cup > Spray with dry coat > Rotatate cup to coat > Leave on paper towel to dry. Bonus points for being reusable although it does get pretty murky after a few uses.
