Bloem offers to do pots, planters, and other home and garden items better! This Oval Rail Planter features an oval shaped planter that can sit perfectly on any deck or balcony railing. This has drainage holes on the bottom to help get rid of any extra water with a removeable saucer. Being lightweight makes it easy to move around and transport. The unique and decorative terracotta color planter makes it a perfect fit for any home. Review: Deck railing planter - Great planter that fits on 4” or 6” railings. I just drilled two small drainage holes on the outside half of the planter. Review: Easy watering since the planters are on our deck railings! - These railer planters are super sturdy and easy to use. They look so nice, sitting nicely on our railing and they are stable with no wobble (the weight of what’s inside the planters helps). I was able to fit multiple configurations of pots inside the planters (see pics). You could also put the soil and plant directly inside the planter but I wanted the flexibility to move plants around easily later. The one tricky thing is creating the drain holes. The plastic is fairly thick so I used a threaded screw to initiate a hole, starting with a smaller screw at first, then switching to another threaded screw with a larger shaft to create a bigger hole. I could have also used a drill but since the little one was helping me, I decided to use manual labor over power tools (less risky ;)) There are markers to help guide where to make the drain holes. I suppose I can make more if I need later but since I have my plants in pots, there is a bar where the pots sit (about 2” maybe from the planter bottom) so any water will still drain out of the pots into the bottom of the planter.

Good value - works great - long lasting
This order is the second I've made. I bought two of these several years ago and I love them. We have over two hundred linear feet of deck railing and a dog who digs up flowers in pots on the deck. This allows us to brighten up our sitting areas without creating a target rich environment for our Golden Retriever...

Sturdy window boxes!
I bought three of these window boxes for deck railings and they are amazing! I’m growing lettuce, cucumbers and squash in these window boxes. Super simple...drilled four holes in bottom for drainage and it did the trick. Even on some days with heavy winds, they were stable on my deck rails! I’m very happy that I tried them out and will purchase more items from this company!!!

Sturdy planters that fit my deck railing perfectly!
These fit the railing on my deck perfectly! My herbs are in good "hands" with these planters. Couldn't ask for a stronger planter with prefect depth and length for flowers and herbs.

No holes on bottom of planter
Would have given it 5 stars but for the fact that there were no holes in the bottom of the planter which killed my plants due to standing water in heavy rain. I had purchased a similar planter a few years ago which came with holes drilled in the bottom. The manufacturer should really take care of this as this is meant to be an outside planter.
