Fernox Limescale Preventer 450g

Use this for my cold water tank in the loft. Replace every 6 months. Does keep limescale from building up in the tank and around inlet mechanism. Product always arrive in a timely manner.

Placed in the main water tank to soak up the limescale.

...originally called "Micromet" years ago.. Likes: a simple, straightforward product for those who can't or don't want the expense & upheaval of a full blown Water Softener. (Note: this product is not really a water softener - rather - just a "Scale Inhibitor"). Dislikes: They've changed the design of both the container sachet & the crystals over the last few years. You used to be able to observe that the crystals were dissolving something into the water, (by shining a torch through the water) but now it's harder to tell. Originally sold as lasting 6 months, then they said it lasts 1 year, now they're saying 6 months again, so you don't know which to believe! Originally a very good product, but not quite so certain now though.
