I was apprehensive when ordering this neck fan, based on other reviews. Then I plugged the fan in to charge, and the power level indicator did not work. I thought that confirmed my fears. I left it plugged in for a few minutes, unplugged it, and plugged it in again. To my happy surprise, the power level indicator became visible. I charged it to 100%, which took some time. Once at 100%, I unplugged it and tried the unit to test its functionality (pictures). It has several settings, which increase the air flow, and it is rather quiet. I had the fan on for a very short time, and saw the battery charge meter drop rather quickly. The fan feels nice, but the quick drain on the battery takes away one star from my review. It is light weight, which is good and bad. It leads me to think it may be cheaply made, but also, not a strain on your neck. The product is currently set to $15.80, and perhaps this is relatively inexpensive, but I would suggest spending a bit more and getting a better quality fan, especially if you intend to use it frequently or for long periods of time. **Update - Now that I have had the opportunity to actually use the neck fan for longer periods of time, I have found that the battery does not drain as rapidly as I had previously thought. For this reason, I have added a star to my review (bringing it from 3 to 4 stars). It is light weight, which makes it nice for kids to use.

It’s not cute, it’s not subtle, but it works, and that’s all I care about. The second my body decides to throw a tantrum, I slap this thing on, hit level five, and instantly feel like I just walked into a walk-in freezer. The fan speeds are no joke. The LED screen keeps me in the loop without any nonsense. Battery holds up better than my patience these days. And it folds. Easy to stash. Easy to grab. No drama. If you're in the middle of the menopausal madness, stop pretending a little handheld fan is gonna cut it. This is the grown woman’s heat emergency plan. It’s not about looking cool. It’s about staying cool. Buy it. Thank yourself later.

In the summer these neck fans are my absolute best friend (I would wear them everywhere if not for the judgement). This fan works, and the five levels of air speed allows you to choose the best airflow to meets your needs. It has enough air flow to cool you down, but the air slots may not be in the correct places. Charging seems to take a while, and the battery runs out quicker than the others, plus it's a little bulkier than most other neck fans. The reason I deduced (2) stars is because the "folding" portion in the middle of the neck PINCHES your skin. If you're moving our neck and shoulders while wearing this the fan folds and unfolds and can pinch your skin in the process. The neck fans makes as much noise as other neck fans I have tried, and it's as powerful as others as well. It's an okay device, but not great.

Broke within a week of buying it one of the fans motor stopped

Edit to add: I do use them extensively as a backup pair. The battery life is REALLY good (probably better than my other pair). They feel/look cheaper, but they are also $10 cheaper. So, overall, I'm very happy with these. It's super helpful to have more than one pair when your kids want to use them too! ----- This is an okay neck fan. I have another one that is much heavier duty and seems to function a little better. This one isn't bad. It doesn't stay locked into place and wants to fold in half unless you are using it (and then your neck is in the way of it folding). It has a few different speeds, but it doesn't blow out as much air as the other one I have. However, that might not be a bad thing if you are looking for a lighter breeze or tend to feel overstimulated with too much fan. It's pretty lightweight. It's quiet but louder than the other one I have. It charges easily with a c-base cable. At first, I thought neck fans were kind of ridiculous, but I do tend to run hot in the summer. My husband got me one, and now I almost can't imagine not having one around. They are SO helpful when you are at an outdoor sporting event, the lake, a party, the farmer's market, etc. I frequently use them when I'm cooking and get too hot in a hot kitchen. It just adds wind, so you aren't as hot and miserable as you would be without it!
