Buy Shop Drawings for Craftsman Furniture: 27 Stickley Designs for Every Room in the Home by Robert W. Lang (1-Nov-2001) Paperback by (ISBN: ) from desertcart's Book Store. Everyday low prices and free delivery on eligible orders. Review: great reference and source of ideas - The pieces chosen by the author to showcase in this book are the most popular and best loved arts and crafts pieces, though not entirely by the Stickleys (Gustav et al). Good book to have if you're in the furniture design and construction industry, or simply just interested in furniture. Review: Shop drawings - exactly what it says; no more, no less - This is a collection of shop drawings. No pictures to give you a sense of the finished item, no glowing descriptions to inspire you. If you're looking for a pretty complete set of dimensioned sketches to make another Stickley piece, then this is the book for you. If this is your first introduction to the style, or you're an inexperienced cabinetmaker, then you'd be happier with Bavaro and Mossman's "The Furniture of Gustav Stickley". The drawings are good dimensioned sketches, not complete drawings of every detail or cutting lists. You're expected to know how to build these pieces without further instruction. There's an introductory section on basic techniques. I don't know why the editors felt this was necessary; it's nowhere near enough detail for a beginner, and most readers won't need any of it. I enjoyed this book, and I'll build pieces from it - but be aware of what you're getting.

Nice pieces, poor drawings
The pieces in the book are beautiful pieces of furniture. However on closer inspection there are obvious dimensions missing meaning you have to scale off the drawing. Worse than this some dimensions stated are incorrect. I would take great care in checking dimensions before making any cuts.
