No Ladder! No problem!
I absolutely hate going up and down on ladders. With that being said, this pole with the hooks saves me with putting up christmas lights on the house. Without the use of the pole my house looked like scrooge was a permanent resident with no lights year after year. Everyone around me would put up lights and my house was the sad unlit black hole. This year we are kicking the grinch out and no longer going to be the sad black hole. This pole extends to the highest reach possible for me to put lights up at the highest point of the roof. With NO LADDER! Getting the clips in the end was basically the hardest part and that was easy peasy. The clips fit on the wood part of the roof or clips on the gutter whichever you need to use. It was easy to clip the lights and push the clips on the eve. The pole is light and easy to use with a trigger to release the clip once you have it in place. Having the other head helped when I needed to pull a clip off or grab the sting of lights to separate them. I completely recommend this pole for those who like to stay grounded but need to put lights up for Christmas.

It takes some learning but works great
I think this has been said earlier in reviews but just to emphasize - it seems to me you can only use this on a single story house, where you're hanging lights up at a height that's only a little too high to reach with a ladder (i.e. a few feet or so). The reason being that once you hang the first clip you need to be able to reach the next clip to place it in the pole clamp in order to hang that one, and so on. For that reason I found it was best to put on the first clip and then the last clip on a string of lights before starting to hang, and then adding all the other clips one by one only after the previous clip is in place so that I could be sure to reach to prepare for hanging. I also practiced on an easy-to-reach bit of gutter on our house before I tried it on higher places. Once I got the hang of it it was pretty easy and not a single clip broke. I think the bad reviews are people who needed to hang lights higher up than a single story or people who didn't practice enough and just gave up (because they are fiddly). If you're comfortable on a ladder for where you're working I'm sure that's easier. Otherwise this is definitely the way to go.

Doesn’t function properly
The pole won’t stay extended when trying to insert clips under shingles. I had to use duct tape to keep each section from collapsing. It pulled down what I had already clipped up. Also, when fully extended, the pole is too flimsy to put enough pressure to insert clip under shingle at high points. I had to readjust the two sections shorter and rewrap with duct tape to get it to work. The release mechanism worked fine for me. It also worked fine for the gutters. My house is one story so the gutters were easy to reach. The way you have to pre-clip the light strands for gutter placement would make it difficult to attach to high gutters. I don’t think it’s possible to grab a clip with the pole attachment. I had to use my hand to attach the clip to the pole each time, and then attach the clip + light strand to the gutter or shingle. I was able to make do with this product by using duct tape and rewrapping twice during installation of lights. Also note: In vids I watched of other people using this product I noticed theirs came in nice packaging. Mine was loose in a box with a handful or two of loose clips tossed in. Maybe mine was returned by someone else or refurbished?

No Ladder PRO MAX: Streamlined Two-Story Decorating Success
The No Ladder PRO MAX has been a game-changer for decorating my two-story house. Its full extension capability made light setup a breeze, reaching places previously inaccessible without a ladder. While the rod felt a bit flimsy when fully extended, patience and effort paid off in successfully placing the clips securely. My only qualm is the limited number of clips included; I wish it came with more for added convenience. On the upside, swapping heads is incredibly easy, allowing for versatile use. What truly impressed me is the durability of the clips—they stayed securely in place and didn't break. Despite a minor concern, the No Ladder PRO MAX proved indispensable for hassle-free holiday decorating, making it a worthwhile investment for any homeowner.

Exceeded my expectations
This thing worked like a champ for me. I have two high peaks on my roof and I was able to slide the clips under the shingles and up my my light strings. I thought it would be much harder than it was. Now it does require a bit of patience and a few "tries" to get them in the right place but all in all it's a much better option than trying to climb up on my roof. Great product! Only minor quibble I have is that the last segment of the pole doesn't "tighten" down as much as I would like but very happy I bought this.

OK
Product info was lacking on how to attach and unattach heads which was frustrating and potentially damaging to product if not careful. Item is sluggish in trigger response at times. Does do nice job when operating properly. Only did tests with it on install functions: clip to gutter and eave (eave much easier) and did use in removing already up lights with cheap clips. Overall I think it will do the job intended pretty well so think I will be happy with purchase but still a bit of question till I install lights next year. Nice high grabber if needed.

Where have you been all my life?
I like Christmas lights but dreaded putting them up each year due to safety concerns. Every year up and down the ladder, hopefully not slipping. This past year, we moved to a new home and the drains on my house are taller than my ladder can reach. So it was spend $$$ on an even taller ladder that I will only use a few times a year or this awesome tool. I put up all my lights last night in half the time that it use to take me, and with no concerns about falling off the ladder. Where have you been all my life? I actually enjoyed putting up the lights.

Telescope Christmas light pole.
I bout one of these about 3 yrs ago through a local shop because we couldn’t afford to have someone hang our lights for us. They looked professionally done and even though my old one broke I knew I wanted to do this again. It’s a great product

Avoid
Please don’t waste your money on this product, either brave it and go up on a pair of ladders or don’t put any lights up on the guttering. Unless you are a world champion in the field of hook a duck it ain’t happening.

Easy Install Christmas lights
This is the best tool for those hard to reach places, especially for the people that are not comfortable getting on ladders, equipment is fragile, but if used correctly, it works wonders We have multiple of these pieces of equipment, and we use them for our lighting company, saving us hours of time without even having to get off the ground. Actually, enjoy this product very much and the clips are rather easy to install, when installing, you must try to be straight the gutter on with the stick in the clip or you will break them trying to put them on from an angle. Clips are highly durable and stay in place 99.9% of the time. Once again, very happy with this product
