I ordered this product on October 3rd. Not only did it take a month to get to me, but after i received it, i realized that this isn't even the product i ordered. Venus flytraps seeds are black, whatever they sent me was brown. It also was a bag of about 50 brown seeds. So i am not sure what i was sent. After reading other reviews i wouldn't recommend this product nor would i have ordered it.

I purchased 40 seeds. I planted them in a greenhouse with proper lighting, controlled the moisture level, and used a heating pad to keep the temperature nicely controlled. 2 seeds germinated. I'm not an expert, so it might be that 5% germination is about right. But it seems that, in that case, the seeds should not be sold in a 10 pack, which would have ~60% of not having any seeds germinate. If you want to purchase these, makes sure you buy enough packs.

I would only suggest getting these seeds if you intend to really do your research and pay very close attention to the seedlings once germinated. They are quite a challenge to get going. I failed myself, and only had around 50% of the seeds germinate. Hence the lower stars. They did germinate though, and grew for a while, but the care is so intensive that I could not really keep up with it and they ended up dying. Experienced exotic growers required!

I purchased two seed packets and they arrived right on time. Each packet was supposed to contain 10 seeds but they had more (one had 13 and the other 16). So i decided to try with the first packet and used the water germination method. Of all 13 seeds only 1 germinated and although that is disappointing, the one and only plant i got looks healthy, it's still very tiny but looks good. I'm now with the second packet so only time will tell.

It's my understanding that Venus Flytraps are difficult to grow, but half the fun is in the trying! This is the perfect thing for gardeners, and for those who don't want an actual "pet" to care for.

I tried planting 3 different times and these seeds never sprouted. I waited 6 weeks each time I planted new seeds. For the instructions I was directed to an internet website that was way to vague, but I did find some better one's. I purchased some seeds from another vendor and they sprouted, but they sure grow slow.

Exactly what you like think. Venus flytrap seeds which came in a small ziploc. Some were crushed, but overall all intact.
