The ELI Mini is the smallest racket of the ELI series by Talbot-Torro (from age approx. 4 years). The Racket features a 'drop-shaped' head that moves the sweetspot to the top of the racket head. As a result, the racket helps to compensate for any developing hand/eye coordination. Often Children react to s a little too late and if using a standard racket they are likely to hit off-center s, not in the sweetsport. The ELI Mini compensates for this and helps, despite a late reaction, the shuttle to be hit in the sweet spot. The shortened natiure of the shaft of the racket (only 53 cm) means it is lighter, more manoevrable and less likely to make contact with the ground. The specially developed training handle is oval and is designed so that the racket feels uncomfortable in the hand if not held in the correct position.To achieve this, all ELI racquets are equipped with an innovative grip band concept which uses colored markings to show the pupil the correct finger position for both forehand and backhand s. The different coloring of the two sides of the racket also allows the coach or teacher to control the racket attitude from the side (third-party control). The racket features a robust construction of both hardened steel shaft and lightweight aluminum head ; it is about 20g lighter than a pure steel racket and much easier to handle. Weight incl.
