Epson Expression Premium XP-7100 Print/Scan/Copy Wi-Fi Colour Printer

This printer does everything well. Easy to set up and use. It produces good type and excellent pictures. Delighted with it and would strongly recommend on cost and performance.

I've used this machine now for several years and never ever had a problem - even resetting it after the built-in default 'end of life ' setting these are sold with. All the functions work extremely well. Compatible cartridges at a fraction of Epson's costs are readily available, and absolutely without any diminution in print quality.

This printer is very good and will do everything needed by a home printer / scanner really well. It produces good quality photos and black and white prints. It is a step up from the previous XP 640 I had and is fairly quick when printing documents. The set up is very easy if you use the online drivers and software from the genuine Epson website. One thing to take care with is if you use non-Epson cartridges. Epson has made recent firmware updates which prevent most third party cartridges working at all. If you buy this printer, do not make any firmware updates and block all such updates. Instructions how to do this are widely available on the web or YouTube. Updates to the software are fine and don't affect this. The XP 7100 is perfect for all home needs but Epson ink is expensive. Great if you use non-Epson ink.

I bought this printer to replace my broken 5 year old Canon. It was quite easy to set up the software on 2 laptops to get it working. The print quality is better than I had with the old one and it is faster. However the menu system is not brilliant for example each time you scan you have to select which "saved" laptop you want to send the scan to. So you have to use the touchscreen panel more times than you would like to. If you make an enlarged copy using the zoom setting it stays the same after a few minutes lying idle or even if you switch it off so you have to remember to set it back to normal otherwise your next print will be zoomed and wasted.

So far, I am very pleased with this printer. It is very compact but actually does more than my previous large multi-function printer. I was pleased, finally, to see that Epson has dropped the fax (who needs them nowadays). I really like the fact that it has two different size trays - so you can print on A4 and photos/cards. It also has a rear sheet feeder, so if you have headed paper, or even an envelope, that can be used here. Scanning/copying are very straightforward. The setting up is very straightforward - I have it connected both by USB and WiFi and both work brilliantly.

This printer is brilliant, easy set up, wifi and phone app works perfectly, prints thick photo paper and card stock easily, slot for postcard size prints and slot for printing discs, I have owned many many printers over the years but none as good as this, would recommend without hesitation.

I’ve had this lovely printer for just over 2 months now and it was all going wonderfully until one day it wouldn’t switch on…button is lit but just won’t come on. I tried a new cable, different socket etc but still dead. I tried looking on Amazon for customer care number but the one given is for Gillette 🥴 Eventually went on Epson’s website where I was stuck in what seemed an endless loop of trying to contact Epson Tech Support. Tried thei automated robot who tried to escalate it via chat and alas sat there for an hour with still no human to help. I have always been pro Epson printers but the lack of support for these products is shocking….would i buy an epson agsin…No. You can tell a lot about a company by the way they deal with their customers and aftercare and this is simply terrible! Two stars for the two months it worked!
