Designed so that you can recirculate the air back into your kitchen without needing to vent outside, this designer hood uses carbon filters (included) to help get rid of smells from cooking, If you have a slightly lower ceiling height, you may have struggled to find an hood that fits your over your kitchen island. As this is a wire hung hood, you can simply adjust the length of the cables the hood hangs from, as long as you have left enough space between the hood and your hob. The black glass finish looks very elegant and modern against the blue digital display and you also get touch controls to complement the modern looks and make it easier to keep clean. The touch controls operate the 3 speeds, the lights and a timer function, so you can leave the hood on after you have finished cooking and it will switch off automatically. You get CCF200 carbon filters included with this cooker hood. These filters attach to either side of the motor and help remove the smells from cooking as the air gets recirculated back into your kitchen. They typically last 6 to 9 months depending on use and are easily replaced. The aluminium grease filter is washable and will absorb ty, greasy residues in the air, helping to prevent sticky grime deposits building up on your appliances and units. To be most effective, it is recommended that you start the extractor in advance to create a flow of air and for obvious reasons the carbon filters will not absorb the large as of condensed steam released when boiling water without a lid so following best and keeping a lid on pots when boiling is advised. Installation: This Hood gets attached to your ceiling, by fixing a steel plate to a joist from which the hood will hang. Your ceiling needs to be strong enough to support 120kg. The steel wires are adjusted to hang the hood at the desired height above your hob or cooker. The filters are designed so you can replace them at any point after installation.
