Today there are various materials available for backdrops - vinyl, paper, polyester, etc. And cotton backdrops do have issues – frustrating s, background light bleeding through the weave pattern, staining, dust collection, etc. But for the best images, nothing photographs as well as 100% cotton. Prism backdrops are 150GSM. Most cotton backdrops sold today are 120GSM (grams per square meter). Ravelli finds 120GSM to be too thin and so instead uses in a thicker 150GSM weight. Prism backdrops use premium dyes for whiter whites, blacker blacks, and true colors. Prism Backdrops by Ravelli are Pre-shrunk. Washing will not result in additional shrinkage. Both original and pre-shrunk sizes are stated. The sides of the backdrops are stitched to avoid unravelling and a 3.4" rod pocket is sewn into the top. Each backdrop is folded and comes in a plastic bag inside a cardboard box. Prism makes only 100% cotton,150GSM weight. Cotton simply photographs better. Cotton simply photographs better.
