Electro Harmonix EL34 Quartet Matched Pairs Power Tubes Review: I wouldn't use any other EL34s - I put these tubes in a Peavy Windsor. I also switched out all my preamp tubes with Electro Harmonix 12AX7. These tubes made it sound like I bought a new amp. The Windsor is supposed to be a sort of Marshall single-channel rock machine knock off, but you won't get that killer sound unless you get the stock tubes out of there. These tubes are straight up amazing for the price. My ears hear warm, buttery, cascading natural overdrive when you keep you preamps low and let the volume knob push the power tubes into overdrive. I like em. A lot. Review: Great tubes. - Used in a mesa dual rectifier. Sounds great and really shows that it should have been an el34 amp all along.

Best EL34 Power Tubes, hands down
Stop shopping, just buy these… easily the best power tube on the market. You can do the research, I did… and these are the best. VIVA tubes is a good company too, they individually check each tube and record the actual rating on the box. Top notch company. Used these in my Friedman BE100 and the other guitarist in the band uses them in his Orange Dual Dark 100… same results: clean, full, lively.
