Dr. Dan's Cortibalm 1-Pack Lip Balm with 1% Hydrocortisone for Cracked Lips

I’m a waitress and my lips are often glowing red and incredibly painful after my shift. I also live in Minnesota, and our winters aren’t very gentle on the skin. I really didn’t know anything about this lip balm when I ordered it, except that it’s probably the very last product in the universe for dry painful lips that I’ve never tried. I routinely use aquaphor and I love it, but it doesn’t help once my lips are painful and inflamed. It also doesn’t help me during my shift even when applied before I walk into the bar. I also routinely use Tatcha lip mask, again, I love it, but it doesn’t help once my lips are painful and inflamed (although it does feel nice if you put it in the fridge before applying it!). I was at a loss… all my amazing products were only amazing in keeping my lips hydrated and soft - not in helping me get back to hydrated and soft. It was like putting on a bandaid, and I know y’all know what I’m talking about. So, I tried the cortibalm. I’m not kidding, within about 12 hours my lips felt amazing. I used it for about 2 days before switching back to the Aquaphor and you’d have never known my lips were bothering me. Ive had it for about a month now and after the initial 2 days of use, I now use it once before my shift and I’ve managed to avoid the extreme irritation that inevitably comes by the time my shift is done. It’s pure magic. Now, keep in mind this isn’t a sexy product. It doesn’t smell like coconuts or vacation, and it’s not a lip gloss. It’s literally a lip saver. This is the product you want when you’re trying to repair the skin barrier on your lips but not when you’re heading out on a date and need to add a little sheen. This is very hydrating, soothing, and fast acting. It does not have a scent (which I love) and it applies easily (it’s not dry or chunky on application) and you can feel the relief in no time. It does have hydrocortisone in it so I probably wouldn’t use it as my go-to around the clock every day, but using it before being outside in winter or before an activity (or waitressing shift) that you know dries your lips out is perfect. At this point, I don’t even need to reapply it - I just need to apply it once and it mitigates the damaged skin barrier. I can promise you, I will never ever be without this again. It’s just silly it took me so long to find this. I’ve already ordered the 3 pack since making this purchase.

I can’t recommend Dr. Dan’s Lip Balm enough! My lips were severely chapped, peeling, and cracked to the point that smiling or even yawning was painful because I was afraid they’d split open again. In less than 24 hours, the peeling had completely stopped. Within 36 hours, the cracks had healed, the pain was gone, and my lips felt normal again. For the first time in a long while, I can smile big and yawn without worrying about my lips cracking. I’ve tried countless lip balms over the months, and nothing has worked this quickly or this effectively. If you’re dealing with severely dry, cracked lips, this product is absolutely worth trying!

After suffering from dry flaky lips for over a month and trying several different products, a friend recommended Dr. Dan’s Cortibalm. I was a little skeptical at first because nothing I had tried up to that point helped, but I was pleasantly surprised after my lips were healed in just a few days! Even after discontinuing, my lips feel fine and not dry. This stuff is seriously the best, highly recommend!

I don't know how this stuff isn't everywhere. I've had chapped peeling lips since this winter, so 6 mos. that no matter what I tried would not go away. I even tried the La Roche Posay cicaplast, slugging my lips with straight up vaseline at night, EVERYTHING. Nothing with stop them from peeling layers of skin every day. I used this for 48 hours and my lips stopped cracking and peeling and are totally back to normal. If this didn't work, I was going to go back to the dermatologist and see if I needed some sort of Rx or steroid to fix it because it was getting ridiculous. Cannot recommend this lip balm enough. Will be buying this to use daily going forward.

This lip balm contains petroleum jelly, beeswax, and mineral oil, but unlike traditional petroleum jelly, it does not have that sticky or heavy feel. It goes on very smoothly and coats the lips evenly, which I really appreciated. It does contain hydrocortisone, though I honestly cannot say that I noticed a specific effect from that ingredient. That said, it did help improve my severely chapped lips and did not cause any additional peeling or sloughing, which is something I am always cautious about. My only real complaint is the smell, or lack of a pleasant one. I cannot quite pinpoint it, but it has a slightly medicinal scent mixed with the natural smell of beeswax. There are no added fragrances, which may be a plus for some people. I only notice the smell when applying it directly from the stick, and I cannot smell it once it is on my lips.

This lip balm always seems to help when my lips are dry and does a great job of preventing them from cracking. It works better for me than many regular lip balms, especially when my lips are severely dry. I would definitely recommend it!

I’m on accutane and this has helped my lips so much more than Aquaphor and Vaseline. I also love lipliner and I can’t really wear it with Aquaphor or Vaseline but with this it keeps my lips from being dry without making them glossy or greasy.

I’m not one to write reviews but this to me is so important!!! CORTIBALM SAVED MY LIPS! I’m currently on Accutane(if you don’t know what that is it’s acne medication that heals you from the inside out) it will have you feeling like SpongeBob from that one episode in Sandy’s house! Anyways! I have bought 5 and I’m about to replenish by buying 2 more! I wish they came in a bigger size! It is a game changer and it reversed my dry, cracked, and painful lips in 24 hours! I even put it on my upper lip and sometimes in the outer corner of my eyes when it’s irritated!! I literally keep one in my purse and on my dresser! BIG FAN AND CANNOT RECOMMEND IT ENOUGH!!!

Best product I consulted three doctors to the same problem but still got no relief but this lip balm works like miracle I attached before and after picture that how this works wonderfully .

I had hoped the product would do what the reviews said...... For me, it is just a normal lip balm with NO outstanding results - my lips remain excessively as dry as before... I am so disappointed !

The best lip balm ever. Period. I'm on accutane 20mg (daily) for the last few months and in general have always had very dry lips cuz I'm always licking them making it worse. Ive tried all best ones in the market- sisley, clea de peau, rms, by terry, la roche posay, burt bees, jack black, blistex etc you name it and I must have tried it. However, this one is the best of them all. It really helps with chapped peeling lips. I normally use this and then use my other lips balms all through the day. The only negative is the taste/smell. I don't like that one bit but it's a tiny price to pay for healthy lips.

This is the ultimate solution for anyone who couldn't find a cure for their cracked lips which just wouldn't heal no matter what you did. I even visited dermatologists whose recommendations didn't work for me. The price is totally worth for me because I was at the verge of giving up because nothing else worked for me.
