Smudge Pot

I found this through a youtube review. While the packaging isn't impressive, the liner itself is great. I've worn eyeliners for over 20 years now and this is one of my favorites. It doesn't smudge easily, stays on all day long, and is easy to apply. I do have to take care to not go back with very many strokes during application, as it does start to set in a few minutes, and we all know that can cause clumping and consistency issues with further application. So touchups can be a little tricky, but are totally doable with a quick wipe-down and re-apply. I don't have much experience with this and durability while swimming, but it's held fine in surprise rainstorms and is still fairly on after a quick face wash. I've had some dry out after not properly screwing the top back on, but that's to be expected. When I close it properly, the product lasts pretty much until I've used almost all of it.

I love this product. I've used it for years. I does not smudge or smear, is easy to apply to the waterline, and can be bold or natural. Being a bit on the more mature side, I go for the natural look and use it on the upper lid only, applied to the waterline. I feel put together without looking overly done up; it adds just the right amount of pop. The product can dry out, so I always have an empty jar that I put 1/4 of the new product in, and that's the jar I use daily. It gets thick about the time it's used up, and I don't waste any of the gel. Best eye liner ever, for any age.

i saw a review of the smudge pots in "gothic beauty" magazine and i had to try it. i've been using smudge pots for a couple years now and i can't say enough about them. i have really oily skin which means makeup tends to slide off my face, even my eyelids. this stuff lasts me all day and all night, even to the next day. i have to make sure my face is clean, then i put on a layer of eyeshadow, then i use the smudge pots with sephora's flat eyeliner brush. it goes on so perfectly, smooth and soft. with pencils, i was always pulling on my eye or having to go over the line because it skipped in spots. then it would disapper within a few hours. i always had to carry my pencil with me in case of emergency! black eyeliner is a must for me and i tried so many different pens and inks. but after the smudge pots, there's been nothing else.

I use an angled eyeliner brush to apply this on my upper eyelid (as an eyeliner). It can also be smudged for a "smokey" look, or applied thickly, like an eyeshadow. The texture is like a really thick hair gel (but not gooey). It is applied VERY easily, and looks great. It is as easy to apply as an eyeliner pen, and is WAY easier to apply than a pencil. The 0.14 oz tub might seem small, but it will last WAY longer than a pencil or an eyeliner pen. (Imagine how many ball point pens this much ink could fill). I am not one to buy expensive makeup - especially not eyeliner (because you can buy pencils so cheaply), but this was definitely worth the $20. I would buy it again!

I used to be a loyal user of Stila's Stay All Day Liquid Eyeliner Pen, but I'd get a little frustrated that by the end of the day, it wouldn't look so sharp and clean as it did when first applied. I decided to switch to the Smudge Pot applied with a nano brush and I will NEVER go back. It looks sharp and clean all day, applies easily to both top and bottom lid, and glides on even more smoothly than the pen. I haven't tried the other colors, but the black is perfect for me and I have had zero problems with it drying out. Very happy with my purchase, as I am with most Stila products.

This is the only kind of eyeliner I'll use for my waterline. It doesn't budget all day but you can beautifully smudge it on purpose on application. The trick is finding the oerfect applicator/brush for it. I still haven't found one... But I've been using smudge pot by stilla for YEARS!

I love this gel eye liner and have been using it for years. It stays on all day long, no problems, no smudging on my oily eyelids. Yes, it does harden up in the pot before it is all used up, but you still get a terrific amount of uses from it. It is worth throwing away some of the product to have the great color and staying power of this liner.

I'm absolutely loving this product so far! It's incredibly easy to use, and a little goes a long way—you really don’t need much to see noticeable results.

After decades of trying all kinds of eyeliners, pencils and liquid, even powders, I have finally found one that I think is the best ever. The color is really pigmented, it is a waxy and creamy consistency and it goes on really easily and stays on me for 2 days without cracking or separating. My eyeliner always transfers in a few hours and this one does not. I might get a few flakes after the second day. I have left it on that long just to see how it will hold up. It's going to last for a very long time. I use an angled brush to apply it. Very nice to work with. I wish I had found this years and years ago. But then they did not have Stila in those days I don't think.

Really great eyeliner, if you're going to smudge it though be sure to move quick cause this sets rock solid in seconds... So I never do the smudgy thing personally, but yeah, good stuff, exactly what I wanted!!! Perfect shade of actual brown, not black brown or a nasty murky brown and no shimmer either, totally matte :)
