After reading some of the recent reviews around the quality of this vinyl record and warping issues I grew a bit concerned. However my record arrived and upon visual inspection looked to be in perfect shape, even after travelling halfway across the world to Hong Kong. I finally got around setting up my new Rega Planar 2 turntable last night and decided to try this record first. I was pleased yet skeptical when listening to the first track, but by the end of Side B it played perfectly from start to finish. I'd like to believe some of the other peoples issues were either a couple of bad records or possibly turnable setup issues, anyway of you're thinking about this one and have reservations I'd say take a chance.

I bought this vinyl as a gift for my boyfriend. The condition it came in was amazing and the quality is incredible. Although, he frequently has to flip the vinyl in order to play all the songs (which can get slightly annoying), the sound quality is great and totally worth the money.

I got this album as a gift for my friend who had recently received a whole collection of classic vinyl from his dad. As we looked through his dad's collection, I realized how cool it was to be able to physically share music- something that's definitely lost its appeal and attention this generation where everything is digital and so easily accessible. Anyway, the record came in pristine condition very promptly. My friend had the digital album, of course, but there's definitely something really special about tacking the record out of the sleeve and hearing the soft scratch as you tenderly place the needle between the grooves. The music itself is also magical. Honestly, older Coldplay songs have an unmistakable and remarkably authentic texture to them that is nigh impossible for me to describe. If you listen to the songs on youtube you'll understand what I mean. You can really lose yourself in the beautiful melodies and rhythmic quality of the guitars. All in all, would recommend to anyone and everyone.

Nice quiet vinyl and well packaged. The large album cover you can actually see the picture the band intended. I frankly think this mastering sounds better than the CD. Usually it's a toss-up. One buys vinyl for vinyl's sake. I am media agnostic. But in this case I enjoy listening to the album more than CD.

I have the black vinyl copy of this release. The matrix matches the yellow vinyl version but not the color! Anyway, super affordable and flat. Quiet pressing with good dynamics. Grab it!

“Parachutes” dei Coldplay è un album che ha segnato l’inizio di una delle band più influenti del nostro tempo. Ascoltarlo su vinile è come riscoprire un vecchio amico: ogni nota, ogni parola, sembra avere un significato ancora più profondo. La qualità del suono è incredibile, con una chiarezza e una profondità che fanno emergere tutti i dettagli nascosti della produzione. Tracce come “Yellow” e “Shiver” risuonano con un’intensità che cattura l’essenza emotiva del disco, rendendo l’ascolto un’esperienza intima e personale. Questo vinile è un must per ogni amante della musica, non solo per la qualità delle canzoni, ma anche per l’impatto che “Parachutes” ha avuto sulla scena musicale mondiale. È uno di quegli album che non invecchia mai, e averlo su vinile aggiunge un tocco di autenticità e calore che nessun altro formato può offrire. Ouço esse álbum desde quando ele foi lançado, ou seja, lá no início deste século e, desde então, acompanho a carreira do Coldplay, ou seja, não sou um “neófito” devido aos shows da banda no Brasil em 2023. Minha opinião consistente e despretensiosa é: esse primeiro disco é realmente muito bom, a prensagem do vinil está límpida de forma que consigo distinguir alguns sons que não conseguia captar bem (mesmo em CD), ou seja, só melhorou o que já era um disco legal, com músicas belas, (até certo ponto) soturnas, harmoniosas e melodiosas. Mas é impossível não comentar (e não, não tem nada a ver com o crítico convidado pelo Chris Martin), sempre achei isso, desde sempre: Coldplay deveria ter permanecido fiel aos 2 primeiros discos; ambos excelentes. Mas, infelizmente, foram fazer música “para, para, para as massas” (parodiando Paradise)…rs
