Perfect!
These are beautiful and fun to play. Anyone of any age can just pick them up and make music. Terrific for young kids and people with dexterity issues. While the workmanship didn't compare to one we owned that was completely hand made and on a turned handle, we thought these were great for the money. Nice quality feel…you can't go wrong.

Great Sound, Good Quality
These castanets are well-made of sturdy, durable wood. SO easy to use, and always sound great. Sure to make the audience sit up & take notice with just a grab and a shake. The double ends enable much fuller, faster playing than single-ended models.

Good set but lots of ghost notes
I've always used a Castanet machine, so when I got these, it took \a bit to get used to the handheld part. I'm not going to factor that into the review, but be warned that if you're more familiar with a castanet machine, it's not quite the same. If I had to do it again, I'd probably skip this model and buy a castanet machine, but there are some fun things that you can do with these. They feel good in your hand, and have a good loud sound. You can get some crazy effects from the double ends. However, the thing that bothered most was that it's too easy to get ghost notes. Sometimes that's great, but not always. First, there are actually 4 moving parts. Both the top and bottom side have two halves. If the strings aren't tensioned the same, they move at different speeds. Yes, it multiplies the sound, but it makes it hard to be rhythmic. Rolling, though, is a dream. I learned that if you slap the side that naturally opens with gravity, you get a nice sound, but then the top half is then completely closed.
