Is there a way to audio output to headphones directly and also record on dvr?

Yes, you just split the audio and video signals.

how many Amps does this unit pull?

Mine pulls 0.130 amps or 130 MAh. I run it off a 1300 - 3S Lipo battery at 12 volts direct and get many hours of flying FPV out of this setup.
