Can't pair with anything
All together no problem, but won't pair with any device

Fun but batteries go fast
Product is very nice and easy to assemble and use. Battery life is very limited with basic alkaline batteries though and I modified it so my daughter could plug in a usb power pack to extend operating time

Don't buy into the frustration
Originally bought this for my 8 year old nephew, but was reminded that he wasn't much into the building of things so decided that I'd try one of the projects. I assembled it according to instructions, and realized that the instructions could be clearer. The parts in the kit aren't numbered so locating parts it calls for from just the small picture can be a pain, not for a child under 8 or one without any patience. Assembly was fairly straightforward and simple once you get the part issues figured out and it came out looking just like the picture. It wasn't as solid as I'd like but built well enough to hold together on its own. Downloaded the app to my Samsung S10E and installed batteries. The manual controls are easy to understand and after realizing that the instructions don't tell you which port to hookup each motor (I had mine backwards for the way my brain works anyway) I was off and running. I ran it from my work room into another room across the hall and all went well until it didn't. The car lost Bluetooth connectivity and just did circles (the last command it received was to turn) until I got the connection reestablished. Controlled it out of the room and down the hall where it easily walked over the lower crossbeam of my pet gate and into the kitchen to chase the cat. Any time I was more than about 7 feet away from it the Bluetooth connection would be lost so I pretty much had to stay on top of it. The cat was no where to be found so I decided to drive it back to the workroom and play with the programming features. The return trip it was unable to get over the pet gate crossbar without assistance and the batteries finally gave up just outside of my workroom (my house is only 1200 sq ft and this run was only about 5 minutes). Carried it to my work desk and installed another 3 brand new batteries and started playing with the programming. I started with the sample programming that is included in the instructions set it on the floor and hit "Play". It made some noises and went in circles for bout 3 minutes (don't know what it was supposed to do, the instructions don't really give any information on that) when the batteries died again. At this point I'd already thrown 6 batteries at this car in 10 minutes and decided it wasn't work throwing more at it. At 37 years old and an avid radio controlled car builder this was very frustrating, I can only imagine the frustration and feeling of defeat a child that is 6-14 might feel. If the instructions had any information on the actual mechanical operation of this it could be written off as a learning experience but the only real information the book has is on sonar (I guess there is sensors on the front that do something) but 3 batteries every 5 minutes and no real information on what you are programming it to do makes this an expensive and irritating toy. If you want to build something get a snap together model car. Much less frustrating and so much cheaper (and lends way to customizing with paint and develops fine motor skills)

Complicated and Not age appropriate
My 8 year old nephew was very excited to get started on this set, as he can put any advanced LEGO set together independently. I enlisted his grandfather’s help. The instructions indicated that adult assistance was essential. We separated the parts needed for one of the robots and were excited to get started. The instructions proved to be a little bit harder than expected and the pieces were difficult to put together. We finally resorted to using a small jewelry hammer to tap some pieces into place. By time we got to instruction number 11 he was totally frustrated. This kit will be shelved for a few years when we will try it again.

It is really hard for 8 year old kid to assemble by themselves. They sometime needs strong force. The programming feature is not impressive at all, if not dull. Sensors do not work well.
