Rit DyeMore Liquid Dye, Tropical Teal

I used this to dye a woven belt. It took three times of dying until I got the shade I wanted. A great product to get the exact color you want.

used this to recreate salem’s dress from tyler the creator’s “ifhy” music video for a concert look with my man. couldn’t find a single damn dress that matched her color, so i said diy time and baby, she dyed PERFECT. yellow mixed with this tropical teal was gonna give me the exact color i needed. easy to use, washed well, didn’t ruin my pot or wooden spoon, and the final color was vibrant af without looking crusty or neon. it had no smell and didn’t ruin the quality of my dress (although it was already not the best considering it was from shein loll). the value for money was amazing considering i still have so much left. the color stayed the same even through 2 washes. highly recommend for any cosplay, costume, or if you’re just feeling a lil crazy and wanna dye your closet. 10/10 would re-dye.

This dye worked great! I dyed two new bathroom rugs that were white. Nothing stays white out in the country, so I dyed them a pretty teal color to match my bathroom. They look beautiful. The secret to using this dye is to get your water almost boiling and keep stirring the item you want to dye for at least 10 minutes.

It works well but it was a brighter shade of turquoise than I was hoping for. So I added a little dark blue and dark green to get a darker shade of teal.

I used it to dye two phone cases. both of them were crystal clear flexible cases (TPU material). I used 4 teaspoons of Tropical Teal color plus one cup of hot water from a tea kettle in a pyrex dish. I didn't choose stovetop, I was worried it would warp the case. the water cooled as I used it, but it turned out fine. edit: several months later, these cases still look wonderful. the dye never wore off. UPDATE: I've used the graphite color of this dye for several other projects. success varies depending on what material you use. the items that had a lot of nylon content worked really well, and so did one sweater that was 75% rayon. some socks that were 97% polyester did not take the dye at all. also, the projects where I was "refreshing" the color worked best -- for example: faded black clothes looked brand new after I refreshed them with graphite dye, but the white clothes I dyed turned out dark grey and slightly uneven. I'm not surprised, but figured I'd pass that on. basically, the more subtle of a change you're going for, the better. also, consider the fact that mixed materials are going to give you mixed results. for example, thread might not take the dye as much as the rest of the garment.

Lovely colour, true to colour chart. Worked well on a pair of white cotton jeans ( yes I know this is for synthetics but it’s the colour I wanted!) in washing machine. I used the colour fastener as well and wait to see how well that works.

Pas utilisé parce que la veste à teindre était aussi composée de duvet qui ne peut pas être chauffé.
