Not much steel is actually in this safe!
I’m really irritated that I have to write this review. I purchased this safe thinking it was a steel safe encased in an insulated polymer. It’s actually just a steel door and steel door frame mounted onto a polymer container by way of bolts in a plastic channel. It would not be that bad if there was any steel actually being buried and extending under the concrete. This safe door is merely surrounded by concrete. If you had 15-30 minutes you could pry this door out of the ground by breaking up the concrete a few inches around the frame and get a 60” crowbar between the metal frame and plastic body and pry out the door and frame leaving the body buried and grab it contents out. Now I’m going to have to modify it somehow by welding more steel in it so that STEEL is actually under the concrete, not just a few bolts barely gripping a plastic body. If this safe was actually what I though I was getting it would be a 5 star safe. PS, why does the door not have a weather strip seal to keep moist air out? Something else I will have to add.

Good product
As advertised. However, the accompanying paperwork was poorly done and I had a heck of a time finding the correct combination. I finally made a chart with all the possiblities, and tried them one by one until I got it to work. Two days later, the firm answered my initial email, however, I already figured it out. 5 star for product. 1 star removed due to failure to get it right by printing the combination in such a way it could not be mistaken. There are ways, you know. Ask the militay.

Awesome floor safe
I signed a contract for a new build house and wanted the builder to install a safe in the foundation. With lots of convincing the builder agreed to drop a safe in the foundation. I've done this before on another house but at that time I did not research floor safes. I bought a safe at Costco and gave it to the builder. It served the purpose but moisture kept getting in the safe and so I had to use several products to keep the moisture out. Since I had a chance to install another safe I did research and found Hyman builds safes with the Ployethylene exterior to keep the moisture out. Just before the builder poured the foundation they changed their mind about installing the safe, rather they would leave a "hole" in the foundation for me to install the safe after I closed on the house. The hole was larger and deeper than the actual safe so my installer drilled rebar beneath the safe to support it and poured quickcrete around the safe and leveled the top with the floor. I would highly recommend this safe for it's moisture barrier, size, and quality.

Nice product
Well packaged when shipped. Good quality safe. Lots of physical work to install but looks good when completed. Found that the combination takes a little time to figure out. Not straight forward, which may be a good thing, but frustrating to figure out. Overall, very satisfied with this product.
