Alone, on the run, and fighting for her life. Sloane Murphy thought hiking the Grand Canyon alone after graduation would be an awesome adventure. Until she slips and starts to plummet to her death. Then the unthinkable happens. She transforms into… a dragon. After flying to safety and trying to convince herself she isn’t having a mental breakdown, the hunters come for her. She runs, somehow managing to stay one step ahead of them. Until her luck runs out. Now the hunters have her and they intend to kill, not capture. That’s when he comes for her. Logan Sharp is the last dragon shifter alive. Or so he thinks, until he gets word that the druids are hunting a red headed female. His team takes her in, sheltering her because there is a truth she must learn: if the skyborn die out, then so does humanity. But Sloane is hiding a dark secret that she doesn’t even know yet. A secret that could change everything. *Recommended reading age 16+ due to language Review: Intriguing Story of Shifters - As someone who loves stories about shifters (people who can change into animals), this story was a pleasant surprise. I felt that the story was stronger than the magic they used. It was not what I expected, because it was even better. A realistic female lead character that isn't dwarfed by an overbearing make character. It was a nice balance and definitely has me excited for the next book. I did read the Logan short story before this book, which made me like him more than if I had just read this book without it. It gave more insight into his character, where this book left you painfully wanting to know more. This was a pretty quick read for myself. I dp believe that is in part to the fantastic writing. Looking for a fantasy-shifter book that catches your interest without leading you to a boring or repetitive ended? Then I recommend you give Skyborn a try! Review: Loved!! - ⭐ 4/5 🌶️ 0/5 🚫 16+ only due to language This is the second series I'm reading by Leia Stone and I really like it! It has all the shifters including dragons and then magic and druids! It's very interesting and a quick read. This is the first book of three I believe and it follows the life of Sloane where she shifts spontaneously after an incident. She doesn't know anything about this life. Luckily she gets saved by Logan and his protectors and just.. *swoon*. Sloane gets all the information from Logan and also meets a very powerful sorcerer who tells her a "secret" about who or let's say what she really is. All this is happening while they try to stay hidden from the druids trying to hunt them and kill them for their power..... This book is quick and easy to read, it's definitely more like an intro into the universe the author created in this series but it's good anyway! The thing about Leia Stone is she can get me to love her books without spice and that's a great achievement lol I can't wait to see how the rest unfolds.

IF YOU LOVE DRAGONS YOU NEED TO READ THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!
I recommend reading the free 22 page short story Logan: Dragons and Druids Prequel before starting this book because it provides a little backstory to this book. Leia Stone is such an amazing author and I love every single one of the books of hers that I have read, and this book is no exception. I loved it so much! It made me laugh, even made me cry a little bit because I was laughing so hard. My absolute favorite line from this book is, “Having a half-naked sexy dragon shifter with his arm around me…while he made plans to save his pet kitten,,,made my ovaries ache for his babies.” This line made me laugh so hard I had a hard time breathing. Took me a solid TEN minutes to stop laughing. I don’t know why I found this line so hilarious, but I did. I loved the character that is Slone. She is a female character that we don’t see very often in books anymore. She is a realist character who would be scared shitless during an attack and not being afraid that she’s scared and would take help from other people instead of trying to take care of it herself when it is clearly obvious she cannot. I do not like female characters who refuse the help of others when she is in a hard situation, male or female. I love how that even though she is a kickass supernatural being, she is still lazy as hell and didn’t became athletic as shit overnight like most books. This is such an amazing new take on dragons (my favorite paranormal speicies) and I absolutely love it. And don’t get me started on Logan, nothing hotter than a man who turns to jello around his pet kitten. Animal lover=sexy time immediately. This book is an amazing beginning to a new series that will keep the audience entertained and make them fall in love. It was beautifully written, descriptions amazing, and comedy on point. Leia Stone could be a comedian as well as an author her female characters are so funny. Please give this book a read and fall in love with Slone, Logan, and the gang.

Interesting story
I just did a reread of this (first read like 7 years ago) via audio, and it was definitely an experience rereading it after reading sooooooo many books from this author since. This is a good story but does have many elements I'm not particularly fond of. Her writing has gotten better over the years, so it feels weird reading an older story. I've reread some others and still thoroughly enjoyed them, but this one just isn't particularly for me. It's good, just not quite my cup of tea. I'll still be finishing the series because I can't remember how it ends though, haha

Over written Feminist
I like Leia Stone, I have for a while. But this book really bugged me. I’ll start off by saying that I like the story line. I liked meeting the characters and personalities. The story itself deserves more stars but the political agenda took those away. I get that the author is a huge feminist. All power to her. I am totally okay with that being in the books. But I felt like it was so forced and every chance a feminist opportunity could be put in, it was. And then it went on and on and on and I was even skipping paragraphs to get it over with. It was actually so overly played and I felt like it was “victim me” “poor me” instead of being a powerful women. It was really disappointing. Examples: -Sloane was in a club and her butt was grabbed. It went on and on about how degraded she felt and poor me and how feminist power comes out, but in a victim way and not an empowering way. - the story goes on to a friend who had something happen to her and it went on and on about that. - then she cooks a meal and demands all men to watch and learn for every meal until they start cooking. Because, feminist. In real life, I cook all dinners and proud that as a women I get to provide for my family in that way. Nothing wrong in that. - sloane is in a club, yet again. This time she gets accidentally pushed into a crowd where people are dancing. Because that’s what they do at clubs. And her boobs accidentally touch the back of a mans shirts. Her feminist comes out which isn’t even a thing in this situation and again it goes on and on about it. Those are just a few. Like I said, I don’t mind feminist power in books, I am a women. But when it’s pushed so far and overly dramatic at times, plus talked on and on about. It was too much and took away from the story.

Awesome start to a new series
Fantastic start to a new series. I mean come on who doesn't love dragons?? If you dont you should because they're just plain fantastic . Leia Stone has crafted a truly unique take on dragons, shifters, sorcerers and druids and their interaction with the earth and humans. Its actually pretty fantastically thought out. There was enough information added in the book to world build so i understood what was going on and never felt out off the loop or in the dark. The writing was seamless and flowed beautifully. FYI no spoilers are in this review becuase you should read it yourself, Id hate to give anthing away. So much is revealed! I love the pack and all of its member. Each so unique but each having a place and we are offered a sample of each one and i am truly excited to get to know each one better as we follow Logan and Sloanes journey. Speaking of Logan he is fantastic albeit it i got a bit miffed at some decisions that were made but considering how much sloane had on her plate maybe it was for the best. I enjoyed Sloane and watching as she is introduced to a world she never knew exsisted. She has spunk and i admit i wish she was less of a bystander and more of a doer but i think that we will see lot of growth from her. I can't wait for book two, so much happened I can't wait to see where our pack of friends are taken next. Im hoping some serious booty kicking is in order and names are taken. I definitely suggest reading this book if you love Dragons and magic!!

Romance, intrigue, humor and dragons,
Wouldn't you love to be a dragon? This sounds exciting, but poor Sloane isn't prepared for everything that comes with it. Fun book #1, I need to get the next one.

Skyborn
