I was pleasantly surprised at the build quality and sturdiness of this puller. I needed to replace a gear on a car sunroof window motor, which was pressed on tightly. It worked without a problem. This is perfect for small gears and pulleys. It is both stable and durable for any small, tough job.

I had my doubts. This little gem worked like a charm. It really saved me.

Comments regarding imprecise tooling appear valid. This product tends not to center the push screw correctly when set up for pulling. While it is a little crude, the irony is that this product does a job that many of the others of its general category cannot do because of critical dimensions and adjustment features. In my case (right out of the box) with a little nudging, this tool accomplished the job of pulling a pinion off of a 5/16" shaft in rather short order. I don't mind crude tools when they get a job done.

I got this to pull the wheels from O scale locomotives when repairs were needed. I did not like any of the other units out there, some even made out of plastic. This is a well made tool and fits and works perfectly. For my use though, I needed more of a cylinder shape on the end of the puller screw. not a point, but still, it did fit the wheels, and did push out the axle. On most I could pull the wheel off after the puller reached its limit, but on a few, I had to add a Phillips machine screw taped in place to extend the reach.

Not good quality. The arms bent during first use. The top of each arm does not stay vertical with the center bolt and move in causing the arms to bend. The center bolt end deformed too.

Needed this for a washer machine repair to pull a gear off of the washer motor shaft. It worked perfectly and saved me the cost of having to buy another washer motor. Very solid, small puller.

I used the tool to extract a very stubborn gear from its press-on shaft and it did it very well. However, the threaded post was slightly short and it ran out of thread before complete extraction, so I had to add a small shim to compensate for the lack of length of the post.As a side question to this is: why Amazon doesn’t make Prime on all its shipments? Just before this item I ordered one that was not Prime and I was charged $19 for shipping when I am paying $14.99 per month for prime subscription?

You get what you pay for. If it were higher quality cast, it’d be 5 star.

Ich musste bei meinem Motor das Primärzahnrad wechseln, es saß seit 65 Jahren bombenfest auf seinem Konus. Es gibt ein teures Spezialwerkzeug dafür, aber ich habe es mit diesem Abzieher versucht. Zunächst habe die die Spindel des Abziehers gut mit Motoröl geschmiert (Fett oder Öl ist dabei egal, hauptsache nicht trocken verwenden). Dann den Abzieher angesetzt und mit einem Ringschlüssel mit viel Kraft an der Spindel gedreht. Damit hat es gut funktioniert.

Very cheap, used it on a rega 3 record player to change the motor rotor and it worked perfectly. The official tool was about £40 this was far far less
