Wireless headphones are amazing for my husband, who is hard of hearing, watching the television has made a world of difference for him, and the sound quality is brilliant. We had a slight problem with the charging of the battery, but our contact Janice, has been so helpful, we had instant e.mails from her, and the quick response is excellent, replacing the item with no problem. Thank you so much Janice at Avantree.

Easy to setup and worked straight away. The sound is good and clear with plenty of adjustable volume, which I need being heard of hearing. I can listen to the TV at my preferred level while my wife can listen at her own level. No external interference experienced at all, not even from the Amazon Firestick. I used a LINKFOR 1x3 optical splitter from my TV with one feed going to a sound bar and the other to the bluetooth transmitter. The headset is lightweight and comfortable. This will now be my preferred way of TV watching instead of hearing aids. A big thumbs up.

This product is excellent particularly for hard of hearing people and headphones are comfortable, there are no lip sync problems and the product is easy to set up. I can also confirm that I had a problem with the charging socket on the headphones 2 years after buying and customer service of Avantree were excellent and replaced the headphones immediately at no cost.

I bought those as a replacement for my HT4189 (previous model) that worked really well. There are a few improvements, but nothing that I needed. Build is good as before, the sound is good, virtually no lag and when listening to music, impressive sound quality. Although I am used to the system, I couldn't to get it to work initially. I connect the optical output of my TV to the avantree emitter and is is simple enough, but I didn't hear anything through the headphone. I contacted Avantree support through chat, and the second question I was asked was whether I had connected the optical input to the right connector in the Avantree emitter, and I hadn't. The mistake can easily be made though so beware. However this was sorted in no time and their support is brilliant. Update on 15 September 2024. I bought a new pair, the previous one solidly worked for 5 years knowing that I used it probably 320 days a year. The battery ended up not charging anymore and it's probably partially my fault: rather than running out of juice, I probably charged it too often. I received a new pair, I like the fact that it was modernised: - direct on / off button - Micro-USB plug to USB-C plug for charging - same for power from a USB-A socket. I am definitely a fan, this is probably my 4th or 5th pair from Avantree, some are for my computer mostly but also the phone or a tablet. Customer service has also served me well, so they deserve recognition, I am adding a star. Thanks guys

I had been using an earlier version of an Avantree product which ultimately proved to be rather fragile across the 'headband' . This although more expensive feels very comfortable , fits well and produces exzcellent sound . It can be worn for say 2 hours without feeling 'heavy' ... it is well built and was very easy to install through a much simpler wifi connection than my previous set . Thank you . It arrived on timne and was well packaged .

It all looked good as I unpacked it. I had high hopes they would sound as good as they looked. Using the supplied jack lead from my hifi’s headphone socket directly into the headphones I was reasonably happy with how they sounded. Volume was set at 15-20 which is the range I tend to listen to the speakers. Then I moved on to the wireless system using the transmitter. It paired up very quickly. Then things took a turn for the worst. The volume had to be cranked up to 30-35 and the sound quality was just terrible. Tinny and more like telephone quality than hifi. There were also loud clicks which sounded like some sort of clipping problem to me though I’m no sound expert. I had also thought I might use them with my guitar amp. While there was no notable latency, which is what you need here, once again the sound quality was just abysmal. All of the above was done in the same small room. Sent them back immediately. They were a big disappointment. I’ll be looking for a better solution elsewhere.

The main reason that I purchased this product was the transmitter, as based on other reviews appeared to be one of the best in the market. Plus, this package (HT5009), comes with a brand new set of Bluetooth 5.0 headphones at a very good price. In this review, I will start with the advantages: - Very good sound quality, without background noise. - Doesn't have sound interruptions, and creates a very stable Bluetooth connection. Doesn't have sound cutoffs, as I have experienced with other products. - No battery. Doesn't need explicitly a power adapter to work. It can be connected directly to any USB 5v power source, which can be even a PC, TV, Laptop, or any other USB port. - The sound volume is fine, I believe it transmits the same volume as it gets. However, I am using it along with a sound amplifier because my TV's sound is relatively low for my expectations. - It has a lock function to automatically re-connect the "device-1" headphone. (Press button "1" for 7-10 seconds after successful connection). - The headphones provided have very good value for money. - It has a very good range, you can move around the house, even in adjacent rooms without losing connection. No line of site required. However, it has also significant disadvantages: - it has pairing issues (see videos), especially if you want to connect a different brand as a primary headphone, or any secondary pair of headphones (other than Avantree). - Doesn't support the "Lock" function for the secondary headphone (device-2). If not Avantree, you need to repeat the pairing process for the secondary headphones every time you switch ON/OFF the transmitter or the headphones. - The pairing it's time-consuming, and it may take several attempts and minutes to connect your devices. - If a random device is accidentally connected to the transmitter as device-1, you cannot unpair it, and you need to do a "factory reset". (Note, if a device is already connected as device-1, pressing button "1" for 10 seconds activates the "lock" and not the "pairing" mode. "Factory reset" is not needed for device 2 in this case, as it doesn't have a "lock") - The sound quality of the headphones is the same as an average headset. Don't expect high-end headphones. - The transmitter doesn't have a "receiver" mode, as the default "Avantree Oasis Plus" has. In conclusion, this transmitter has been explicitly made to support a secondary headset simultaneously, and claims to be one of the best in the market for this purpose. it's a nice product with good sound quality. However, it has pairing issues, and you must have a lot of patience to go through the time-consuming pairing process. In this package (HT5009), it feels more like you pay mainly for the transmitter, and you get the headphones at a small discount. If you already have two headphones and don't need a new pair, I would suggest buying only the "Avantree Oasis Plus", as it comes with more functionalities. if you need only a single pair of headphones to use, I would also recommend trying something different. For example, even only the provided headphones with a single Bluetooth dongle (Avantree DG59M) without the transmitter come at a better price.

I have a horrible neighbour, these smart, comfortable headphones automatically pair with the base unit. I have mine configured from a soundbar via an optical cable and the main unit itself is powered from one of the USB outlets on the TV itself. Turn the TV on, and this automatically turns on the unit, you can now watch and listen to the tv via the soundbar or, by activating the headphones you can listen without the need for the soundbar to be on at all. This is a great bit of kit, pre paired to the headphones and vice-versa, all cables and leads come in the box along with comprehensive instructions for adding another pair of headphones. I’m sorry I didn’t do this sooner.

Overall this is a fairly ok purchase. That is the highest praise i can give it. It did work according to the instructions and the write-up on amazon. The shortcomings are as follows. 1. The headphone is described is over-ears. I am small size and it barely covered my ears. It is NOT over ears and even for me it was only on-ears. So with people with "bigger heads" beware! lol! 2. The Bluetooth transmitter "speaks" out loudly every single time you connect the device is switched on and every single time the headphone is connected to the transmitter. I live in a small apartment with others and I watch tv late at night. Every time I switch it on it announces to everyone in the apartment that I am watching TV. The manufacturer should have made it possible to switch off this "voice". 3. This might not be a game changer but the power connection is by USB only. Thus you need to buy a USB adapter to connect it to the power socket. It in itself is not much but actually does add to the whole experience which is not positive. Thus, I ended up returning the product for a full refund. I will not recommend to anyone who uses headphones to watch TV regularly and looks for a quality product.

Globalement très satisfait de cet achat. Les points positifs: 1) Le casques est confortable même porté plusieurs heures; 2) La batterie tient très longtemps; 3) Le setup et la connexion est assez simple, les cables pour les différentes options sont fournis (voir néanmoins difficultés ci-dessous) 4) La qualité audio est bonne; 5) Si nécessaire, le casque peut être remplacé par un casque audio plus qualitatif; 6) Le prix est correct pour la qualité du produit. Les points négatifs: 1) Le réglage est à priori simple mais peut nécessiter une configuration spéciale (par example j'ai dû déselectionner l'option "format automatique" dans les options audio avancées sans quoi la connexion entre le tranmitter et le casque ne se faisait pas); 2) Pas d'option de mise en "auto-power off" donc risque de retouver le casque déchargé; 3) Pas de chargeur pour recharger le casque, seul un cable micro-usb - usb; 4) Pas de réglage du son ( bass/treble).

This now my 3rd type of tv headphones, and they are great, super light and the receiver draws power directly from the tvs usb so no need for an extra power point to plug it in. Happy with that.

Tried a range of other brands including very expensive ones. Value for money, this pair are hands down the pick of the bunch. Long battery life per charge, rugged but comfortable (they pass the falling asleep with them on and not breaking with flying colors) and so easy to use. Highly recommend. Currently looking at getting their Bluetooth to iPad/iPhone as they also appear to be rugged but light weight and easy to connect. Only downside is the Bluetooth signal distance. It’s good but not quite as good as some others.
