Apple Composite AV Cable

Works awesome! Really please with this product. I’ve only tested it out on my crt but I already love it. One of the best purchases I’ve made for my iPod. Here’s a tip if you’re going to watch tv shows on an iPod classic. If you put episodes into a video playlist and turn shuffle off, the iPod will play the videos one after another, letting you binge if you choose. Great product, great price! Be aware the resolution isn’t great coming from the iPod. The stuff that looks the best, are the tv shows and movies I bought off of iTunes. Personal observation, you might be better equipped to encode videos for iPod.

My iPhone video cable works perfectly and I have yet to see the error message that other reviews have described. The screen resolution for most applications such as Netflix, apps from network TV stations, etc, appear on screen in better, much clearer resolution than what can be seen on my iPhone when viewing without using the cable or a TV screen. I have not had a chance to see if any presentation apps like the iPhone version of a PowerPoint viewer would work with this cable yet, but would be interested to hear from anybody who has tried this to see if it works. The only complaints I have are that when using the cable to charge my phone from a USB port on my TV, the sound of the phone is dissabled so it does not ring for incoming calls or alarm clock settings. Any time this cable is plugged in, there is no sound from the phone other than from the video on screen, so no alerts, calls, text notification sounds and so forth. Also, many application developers still do not use the video-out features that the iPhone is capable of, such as my cable provider ("Time Warner Cable" has an app for watching a number of available cable channels while within home wi-fi range, but it does not allow external monitor viewing as needed for use with this cable). For those who mainly use or want something like this for using Netflix, Youtube and purchased or downloaded videos saved on your iPhone, it works very well and is a 5-star product.

If it's sold by Amazon, it's the official Apple product like pictured. I had previously bought the Amazon Basic cable which is similar but I had a lot of issues trying to get it to work. Sometimes it would work while other times it wouldn't. I'd have to quit the app then try to go back and forth... There seemed to be no pattern to it. Some people said it worked for them but didn't elaborate on that. It was a headache. I'm using an iPhone 4s with OS 5.0.1. so I would have thought it would work. Turns out no. None of those problems with the Apple cable! It works as it should with no quirky issues. Yes, it costs more but then it actually works! Video, Youtube and even Netflix works without having to fiddle with any settings. Just plug it in and turn it on. It's that simple, like it's supposed to be. About 3ft from the sync plug is the first split. USB and Video are separate from the Audio. 7" from the end is another split for the two audio plugs. This gives you some flexibility when the TV doesn't have built-in USB to charge the device. As they say, buy once, cry once.

I’m running this into my Technics SA400 receiver (AUX) from my IPOD classics. I’m impressed with the overall quality, that its an Apple Product and I like the fact that one can charge while playing which works just fine. My first attempt was through a 3.5mm plug to RCA which did not work very well. A pin to 3.5 female adaptor and Evergreen 3.5 to RCA also was a non starter. For 10 bucks this is pretty sweet and I just bought two more as spares.

I purchased this cable to be used with my Ipod and my home stereo/ speaker system. The audio cables work but you need to purchase a separate power outlet to plug into the USB otherwise your Ipod does not charge. The product would be more complete with an outlet as well as a simple stand so that you could see your music choices etc. As of now, my ipod lays flat next to the stereo system (facing upside-down b/c the plug is at the bottom). The only other issue we had is that when we disconnected it, we lost all the music and had to reboot the entire ipod. Im not sure if the cable did this but we have plugged the ipod into various other sources and never had this issue before.

If you want to connect your iPod to your stereo (or anything else with analog audio) BUY THIS CABLE. Even if you have to buy a lightning adapter, to connect to your newer iDevice (which I did). It makes solid connections, and still provides for charging. The "other brand" has always had sketchy connections - popping and buzzing - and finally quit working on one channel. THIS one is solid. (This is the second one I bought. Have had the first one for a long time. I use them on several different vintage stereos, in different locations.) Disclaimer... have not used for video. But I would be confident...

Once i got this product, i couldn't wait to plug it in and play something up on the big screen. It took a while to put the chords in (only because my tv is mounted on the wall and i couldn't see where they were to fit.) I finally did and it did not play on my TV! i was very dissapointed but i didn't give up. i went on amazon and looked at the reviews for this product and as i kept reading they all said it worked great with netflix, youtube, and videos. so i went and played a random youtube video and it worked! i realized the app i was on was not supported by this product.(i also saw a review witch said to go to settings- general- TV out- widescreen on) i am not sure if that helped but it works now and i am very happy with this product, though i wish it played my app that played shows. the app i used was ABC family,so that doesn't work. I will not return this product, i am very pleased, but also note that mine came in a plastic bag (not an apple box) and it has video chords(red green and blue) and audio chords (red and white). But overall, good price for this product! it is still from apple though it didn't come in the box!

I needed a cable so that I could connect my iPhone to the stereo in my new car. I presumed it was just a USB cable I needed but this was not working and I ended up going to the Mazda garage where they told me I required a AV cable and tried to sell me one that looked pre-owned at a cost of £50 so I thought I would have a look on Amazon. I found this Apple cable for £5 less than Apple sell them for and decided to give it a go. I find it works really well, it plays my music from my phone through my car stereo and even displays the album artwork on the stereo screen. The sound quality seems really good to me although I am no expert. I do not know what the picture quality would be like if it was used to play videos but it does the job I needed it to.

Bonjour, j'ai acheté ce cable en souhaitant qu'il fonctionne correctement et je ne me suis pas trompée. Il est parfait. Je possède un "ipad écran retina wifi/3G" et c'est top. Le cablage est simple. Je le laisse en place sur "ma TV HDtnt". Je peux donc visonner mes videos et photos contenues sur l'ipad, ainsi que des films en streaming(ça c'est top...). Cependant êtant client orange , j'ai la TV d'orange sur l'ipad , mais n'ayant pas de parabole je ne l'ai pas sur ma tv. Je pensais donc que celà fonctionnerait aussi, mais nannnnn. Le seul repproche à faire , on ne peux brancher l'ipad sur secteur en même temps, donc veillez à ce qu'il soit chargé à bloc. Je recommande toutefois cette article.

Benutze ihn am Autoradio um Videos über iPod zu schauen.Funktioniert einwandfrei. Apple Qualität bin sehr zufrieden.Würde ich wieder kaufen Danke.

先ずは、iPOD nano 5Gで動作確認し、音声、映像ともに問題なく出力できました。 箱入りの純正品がヤマトメール便専用封筒に入り到着しましたが、Apple社発行のWarratyと説明書も同梱。 商品はさらにApple製の袋に入っており纏められたRCAコネクタ側面には保護テープが貼られており安心しました。 追記：iPhone4S IOS/8でも音声、映像ともにＯＫ。YouTubeが最初ＮＧでしたが映像出力中にさし直してからＯＫとなった。
