I sew replica 18th-century clothing by hand. I needed to sew some cashmere/wool-blend fulled broadcloth and this was a perfect match for the color. My stitches are completely invisible and one spool was perfect for a set of breeches. Although I didn't use it in a machine, I think it would be great for that as well because the thread is smooth and uniform. Note that for hand sewing, this is fine, so it works best with quite small sharps.

I prefer to do my quilting with very fine silk thread. Won't melt like some threads and are strip over than cotton thread. Love the color choice in their Kimono line.i prefer for quilt piecing. This is a very fine thread, that if you color match becomes almost invisible.

This thread is indeed silk - as far as silk is in 2026, and appears to be the weight described. It's high quality, but extremely overpriced for how much thread you're getting. The thread is smooth, clean, uniform and doesn't bunch or unravel while you're using it. The thread has a pretty, and clean look when used. It's your typical, hard to sew with silk thread. The only reason it got 4 instead of 5 stars was the pricing as it felt quite stabby once I saw the amount of thread I received. Overall a good product.

This is a beautiful thread but can't use it on my Pfaff sewing machine. Maybe could use it if it were wound on a spool made for my machine. 😒
