Whole Uva Ursi Leaf 1lb

This is the first time I’ve bought Uva ursi leaf in the whole leaf form and I like it a lot. The quality seems very good and the price is good for a one pound bag. I’ve been using Uva ursi for years to make my own tinctures and infusions as our family go-to urinary tract remedy, including for our dogs and cats. It’s always good to have a good amount of this on hand and I’ll be buying this brand from now on.

I use Frontier a lot: parsley leaves, nettle leaves, uva ursi, and some teas. I look no further. All is very good quality and well packaged. As packages are larger, I put a smaller quantity in the jar and seal well the original package.

For a very long time, I have suffered from recurring UTIs. When I spoke to my urologist, he ran all kinds of tests and told me that I am just sensitive to bacteria. He wanted to put me on a daily antibiotic, but I refused. Antibiotics will kill any bacteria in your body, including your healthy gut flora. I have enough digestive issues as is. Not to mention the overuse of antibiotics can cause antibiotic resistant bacteria. I have been suffering for years, living off of Azo brand urinary tract infection pain relief. If you think that's a good idea, read the pamphlet. It has caused cancer in rats. While it may not have been tested or observed in humans, something that has caused cancer in any creature is probably not safe for use several times a day every day. It was time for me to make a change, and find a way to cut my dependence on antibiotics and doctor visits. After all, who can afford it? After dabbling in essential oils, and finding that oregano essential oil added to a bath can kill the bacteria, I began to wonder if there were other things in nature that could help me. As an avid lover of tea, I was overjoyed when I read that uva ursi (or bear berry) tea can do just that! I instantly bought a bag, and decided to see if it worked. Within three days, my UTI was gone. That was a feat I thought nearly impossible after several ten day rounds of antibiotics had failed me. The greatest part is that this tea doesn't taste bad while helping you to get rid of your infection. It only starts to get really bitter as you reach the bottom of the pot. I am a believer in this stuff, and I just wish I could buy a bag that is bigger than a pound. If you have similar issues to me, or even just a lesser case of what I have, you have nothing left to lose. Try this, I promise you'll thank yourself for it.

Really potent, honest, and successful product. Uva ursi is the herb that sold me from buying from Frontier from now on and I trust the brand. I see peoples reviews about finding snails and whatever in the bag but be honest with yourself, you're buying organic loose herbs in bulk. If you're not really about this crunchy granola lifestyle don't be about it. This stuff is ten times more effective than anything on your grocery store tea shelf. I had a chronic off/on UTI problem since I was a baby. I even got rare UTIs like strep culture. Multiple urology trips and antibiotic rounds didn't make me feel better. I would actually cry about it. This tea has allowed me to live a normal life. It's rare now but whenever I feel discomfort coming on, I just whip up a batch of this, chug it all, and it's like antiseptic went through my urinary tract. Please never change this product. Recipe for UTI remedy using this: Uva ursi, goldenseal, stinging nettle, and red raspberry leaf. Use the loose herbs of all and make it with a tea diffuser or large French press. Drink 5 or more cups a day for several days to be sure, but you'll start to feel relief in a few hours.

If you get UTIs you should drink this as a tea on the regular and as much as you can stomach during an infection. Keeps the doctors visits down if you have chronic infections or are particulary susceptible. Don't wait for the doctor! Changes the pH and makes the bacteria flush out easily. Way better than cranberry juice (uva ursi is also known as upland cranberry or bear berry). Fantastic to keep around along with d-mannose for self treating UTIs.

Great product and great value for a price. I am susceptible to UTIs and ever since I included this product to my preventative routine I’ve had none. I brew a tea from these leaves. The flavor of these leaves is not bitter and even pleasant which is super important to me. I’ve heard of other types of feminine uses of Uva Ursi but I have never tried it in any way other than a tea

It seems to be working well to get rid of my uti. The only thing I would add is that I soak the tea leaves overnight and then boil it for half an hour in a pot. This makes the tea stronger. It's a big bag and will last for a while.

I use Uva Ursi Leaf to make a tea to soothe my kidneys in recovery after an episode with kidney stones, and it is great. It is very well prepared, packaged and shipping was fast. Highly recommended
