Yes it is spring assisted i ordered this thinking it wasnt but it surely is spring assisted

There's a locking lever like you'd find on most foldable pocket knives. You push it aside then close the blade.

how long is the blade

Although it's curved, it's about 3 1/2 inches long...7 1/2 overall from tip to bottom of the handle.

How many are in the box?

Just one comes in the box but it's worth it though.
