Murphy, out of college, moved from small town in Iowa to NYC, a dream forever. She was hit in the face by his home run ball. Caden, gorgeous and extremely awesome, 5th best in the league, catcher in the MLB, was living his dream with his first and only love…Baseball. This is where their story starts and what a story! I couldn’t put this book down, mostly because of the excellent writing, storytelling, the romance, the friendships, the plot, the character building and I love baseball! There are some baseball action plays, wish there were more, and drama. This is a must read if you love sports books. This series is on my list of to read over and over. ******************************** (1st read 2019) 5+ stars! This is one of the best BB books that I’ve ever read. Everything about it was perfect. The character building was phenomenal even for the secondary characters. There were only a couple of sex scenes and they were romantic with love pouring out of both Caden and Murphy. Their story was unforgettable from the very first page. I rarely give 5 stars and I read a book every 2 days of the year. If I give a book a 5 star rating, you better believe it’s the most perfectly written book I could recommend. This book will most definitely be on my ‘to be read over and over list’. I could not put this book down. From page 1 all the way through to page 390, my eyes never left the words of this beautiful love story. I am so anxious to start Benching Brady; I feel I am rushing through this review! After returning this book to KU, I purchased my Kindle copy to have in my library. Every woman that has a romantic cell in her heart and brain should read this book. You will not regret a single minute. Ms. Christy, this is my first book by you, and you have earned an absolute true fan. I am giving this book 4 stars instead of five for two reasons. I really loved the book and the characters however my liking of the main female character Murphy dimmed considerably when the sex tape was released and she placed the blame on Caden for not telling her that Tony contacted him and told told him about the tape. I could understand to a point why she may have been angry at first but after thinking about it she should have realized she had her own opportunity to find out about the tape had she not blocked Tony and later Kirsten when they called her saying Tony had something sge would want. I am at no point blaming her for the tape she didn't even know existed but Caden wasn't responsible either. Also what would she have done had she known about the tape? Would she have caved to Tony's demands? Or gone to the police. I wish instead of running away she had stayed and had a conversation with Caden about the tape he had no proof of, not even a still shot of Murphy even partially unclothed proving that a video exists. I also wish the author had let us know what happened to Tony at the end? Did he go to prison? Did he have to pay restitution? I really don't like loose ends.

Completely Captivating
Samantha Christy writes what I love to read and this one is completely captivating! When Murphy's face gets shattered by Caden's homerun baseball that comes flying into the stands, neither one of them knew just how much fate had a hand in the accident. Caden checks in with the team's PR lady after the game to find out who the person was that got hit by his ball, hoping it wasn't a kid. She tells him it was not a kid, it was Murphy Cavenaugh, who was taken to the hospital by ambulance. Both she and Caden thought Murphy was a man at this point. Caden shows up at the hospital and in the cafeteria he hears this guy talking about some model that he's dumping because her face is messed up. Then some women calls out the guy's name and he hangs up the phone, and she rushes up into his arms and they start kissing like they're at home, not in line at a hospital cafeteria. Caden finally makes it up to Murphy Cavenaugh's room, but he thinks he's got it wrong because he sees a woman's nice legs in the bed, not the older man that he was expecting. Just a s he was about to leave, the bag of goodies he had with him rips and spills on the floor. Murphy thinks he is part of the medical staff at first, then maybe her modeling agency. When he introduces himself, she has no idea who he is because she doesn't follow any sports. Camden is intrigued. He is also really angry at the douche bag boyfriend, but doesn't know Murphy well enough to tell her what he knows. He shows up again the next day with flowers, and he makes Murphy laugh. They share a great comrade. This book is just fantastic. It's full of fun and humor, love and some angst. It's very heartwarming. I absolutely recommend that you read this one so you can follow Caden and Murphy's friendship to HEA. I promise you won't regret it!

WOW I have no words Loved Caden and Murphy to the moon and back
OMG where do I start and how do I keep from giving spoilers. Okay let's give this a try. UGH OMG I seriously loved this read. A Spectator being hit by a home run ball changes so many lives. Especially Caden's. My impression is Caden and Murphy are both relationship shy. He with his three strike rule and her with her no dating rule. I don't even know where to start. I know Murphy's ex is a POS and deserves everything he gets. When you read the book you know about Caden's three strike rule. Never goes out more then three times with one woman. He doesn't trust that someone isn't out for a piece of him instead of him as a person. But there is something about Murphy and instead of dating they agree on being friends. When he starts wanting to include her when he goes out with a lady I actually didn't like that at all. Yeah he wanted her close but it just didn't seem fair to Murphy. Any who I guess that was his way of being with her and not calling it a date. Because of his three strike rule. Still not right. There are soooooo many choke moments in this read I just can't say anything because I don't want to ruin it for any readers. I will say this the JumboTron sure got a work out. The first instance just about killed me. I was literally choking back ugly cries. The other sentimental moment was when all the women at the game were sporting shirts "Murphy Strong" OMG yeah you'll cry. And this is all you're getting from me. Do yourself a favor and read this book.

Thoroughly Enjoyed
This is a new author for me. I truly enjoyed this book, the character development, the storyline, the relationships. I’m normally don’t read the sports genre although I’m a David sports fan. This author’s writing makes me want to become one. I can’t wait to read Brady’s story. I hear tissues are needed. I’m down with that.

One of Her Best!
Nobody can write a feel good love story like Samantha Christy and she delivers once again in the first book of her new series, The Perfect Game Series. Caden is the star catcher for the NY Nighthawks, a Major League Baseball Team. He’s not a player where the ladies are concerned but he does have a 3 date rule because of his fear that no one will love him for hisself. Murphy is a small town Iowa girl that moves to NY to chase her dreams of being a model, after the death of her best friend. She shares an apartment with a group of other models and has been dating Tony for several months. Tony and one of her roommates takes her to a Nighthawks game, where she gets hit in the face by a home run ball, hit by Caden. Caden feels terrible that his ball hit someone so he goes to the hospital to meet the person he hit. They become friends and as the story unfolds, you can see their feelings evolving. The story is told in dual POV, which I love. You will laugh with them, cry with them and you will get to visit with the characters from The Stone Brothers Series. I love it when an author weaves characters from other books into their stories and Samantha Christy does a great job doing this. For people that are not big sports fans or if you are a diehard baseball fan, you will love this book, I know I did. Home run Ms Christy! I was provided an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Quick & Sweet
I’ve been in a bit of a reading slump since my kindle went on the fritz. But I was at home wanting to read something short & sweet to get me back on track. While this isn’t necessarily short it was a pretty quick & easy read for me. Caden is the good boy of baseball, and Murphy was a well written compliment for his character. She’s from out of town, big on honesty, and hasn’t yet allowed the superficial side of the crowd she was hanging with taint her outlook. Now, this book is a little on the cheesy side, but that’s exactly what I was looking for! The main conflict between the characters was a little...uneventful...for lack of a better word. But it fit the story so I didn’t have much of an issue. I believe this is the first book in a series, or at least in the baseball branch of a series. And I’m looking forward to reading what’s next for our other “baseball brothers”. Overall, if you’re looking for some cheesy romance, some cute banter, a hot baseball player, and some PG rated intimacy scenes then give this one a shot.

story with everything ….
This storyline is one of the best and I have read hundreds of books in last 6 months. It covers so many issues in our society today and makes you think of what a wonderful world it can be. Caden and Murphy make the perfect couple and you can’t out the book down until the HEA, also filled with so many other great characters stories..highly recommend!

The Beginning of our forever.....
The Begging of Our Forever…. When Samantha decided to tease us with little snippets of this book… I tried really hard not to read them however I did and I was hooked. I couldn’t wait to read the rest. O my days….. What a book! Murphy moved to New York City after losing her best friend Kelly, in the hopes of becoming a model… Her dream come true… She finally lands the perfect job and is dragged to a baseball game by her boyfriend Tony and a roommate. What better place to celebrate your modelling career? Little did she know that her world was about to change, drastically…. Caden is up to bat… Will he get a home run? Crack…. Hell yes!!! But rounding second base, fear strikes as there is silence beyond left field where he always hits his home runs. Why are they gathering? Did his ball hit a kid? Murphy feels only pain. What happened? She wakes up in hospital where her worst fears are met. She needs surgery. Her career is ruined. Why did this happen to her? What will she do now with having scars on her face? She didn’t want to go in the first place but there is no going back and no one to blame. #FreakAccidents happen! Caden finds out that his ball injured someone bad enough to land them up in hospital. He make his way there expecting to see an old man because with the name “Murphey” what else could he think? He couldn’t have anticipated what and who he saw instead. Long sculptured tanned legs… this has to be a mistake. She is beautiful. Stitches, bruises and all. Murphy is expecting to see Tony when she wakes however it’s not Tony that is there, it’s a strange man. Who is he? She has no idea that this man is the man who hit the home run. Why would she know who he is? She doesn’t watch baseball. Caden introduces himself and is stunned to realise that she has no idea who he is. It’s… refreshing? Caden has been burnt in the past and he trusts no woman but for some reason he is drawn to her. Will she become his reason for trusting and loving? Will he become her reason for what she needs most? This story had me hooked from the beginning. I actually learnt a lot about baseball myself so thanks for that Samantha. ;) I laughed uncontrollably and I am not ashamed to admit that I came very close to almost wetting myself. I must say it’s no fun chocking on coffee several times. After the first time that happened, you would think I learnt from my mistakes? Note to self… “No drinking while reading Samantha Christy’s books” I couldn’t get enough of the witty nicknames, the passion, the dramatics and above all the binding love. Their love was meant to be. Samantha… what do I say that I haven’t already said in my other reviews? My words fail me yet again. Your books are amazing. I LOVE that you have a duel P.O.V. You write with so much hope, love, dedication and humour. I am never bored and I know I will never be left hanging. I wish I had half of your talent. You are truly gifted! P.S: Can't wait to read Brady and Sawyer stories and when love kicks their asses 😁

Very good if a bit predictable
Liked this book a lot, it’s one of those where you can guess the plot line as it goes along. A lot of hints to Brady’s past which is setting up another book in the series.

Great Read!
I really enjoyed this book! I thought we would have learned more about what happened with the blackmailer? Also we never learned the sisters back story. Something bad happened, she disappeared but we don’t know what happened. All in all I enjoyed this book, had a great story!
