You can avoid "beds of nails" that take up valuable space with these.
I love these things and have purchased them a few times. I'm impressed at how consistent the diameter was for easy integration and how well they maintain connections. I use these for rapid prototyping circuits since my world is robotics engineering and rapid prototyping. I will definitely buy more.

This opened my eyes to a new future of making things with electronics.
I bought these because I had another set that worked perfectly but they had a pin at the top and I needed a flat surface for the pins to make a connection to easily. This solved my problem right away. Great product. Will be buying several more once the time comes.

Good product, but specs incorrect?
I bought 1mm drills because the spec shows the tip is 0.5mm, the shank is 1mm and the tip is 2mm wide. There is no way to jam them into a 1mm hole. They fitted loosely into a 1/6" drilled holes, so I expect the shank is actually 1.5mm wide. good product otherwise.

The real pin is much thicker than listed.
The dimensions listed are wrong. The pins I got are 0.8-0.9mm instead of 0.5mm.

Incorrect Size
Like others have stated, the size is very much incorrect. Nice pins, but wrong dimensions. These are .9mm plungers, 1.5mm shaft, and 2mm base, about 6mm long.
