NO ASSEMBLY REQUIRED!
This is perfect for my one-person household, and is easy to roll in the included cradle. The only assembly needed was to slide the door on. It was in the bin when it arrived. It was not too heavy for me to move and set up, either. I'm in my 80's.

Super easy composter for novices
I've got two of these, and am buying a third. This is the first composter I've ever owned, and don't see a need to get anything else. It's simple, and the original has worked for me for almost two years already. It's survived Florida summers and is still working great! Don't expect it to make a huge amount of compost. It's small, but that's fine by me. That makes it easy for me to move it where I need to. I can put in my household scraps (NO animal products - unless you want critters trying to get into it), and mix it well with "brown" materials (like toilet paper rolls, paper towels that have been used to sop up water only, and um, Amazon boxes and packaging....). I roll it around every other day, and squirt it with the hose to keep it moist (don't sog it up, a little squirt will do ya.) Keep doing that, even after you fill it up. Be patient, keep rolling and keep it moist, and you will be rewarded with homemade brown gold! Once you have your compost, then you can take the roller off the stand, and roll it right where you need it. This is terrific if you don't want the hassle of dumping it into a wheelbarrow and hauling it to your garden or yard. I shovel it right on my Earth boxes and grow bags, and then wheel it back. I leave a little compost in there as a "starter", and get ready to make my next batch. I'm happy, my plants are happy, and I don't have to worry about something breaking on this. Couldn't ask for more.

Batting 50-50 so far
To date, I've ordered 2 of the HOTFROG half size rolling composters. I think the design is genius - it's simple with no assembly, compact, no strong plastic odors, and there is no central axle to sag or break under weight. The first one I got with the green cover was great so I ordered a second one with a blue cover. On the second unit, the cover would not fit on without gorilla strength and then was stuck on. So far I've spend an hour sanding and dremeling down the bin and the cover kind of fits now. Not super happy with that - needs better quality control. I swapped lids and found the black bin has the issue not the lid. Otherwise great product that arrives on time.

Great for beginners
First time composting and this thing is amazing. Easy to rotate on the base. Survived 2 thunderstorms and didn't fill up with water or fall over. Barely notice any moisture leaking through the lid when rotating (read lots of reviews and watched for it). If you just use the hand holds towards the sides to rotate and leave it on the grass you're golden. It's very sturdy and filled up faster than I expected. Going to buy a second one to fill up while this one is composting. Great for a small yard (sticks and grass clippings). Fits snuggly by the steps of our porch out of view and there is no smell while it's closed. I think I got my ratio of brown to green right because there's not much smell anymore while its open. I've had it for about 2 1/2 weeks. I will say I went around collecting stuff from our yard and we cooked a lot for the first 2 days so it got pretty heavy before we had any high winds or storms. Not sure how it handles those when it's empty or barely anything in it. Just stick it somewhere out of the wind until then and easily roll it to a new location if you need to move it later. 🤷♀️

Great little composter -- buy two!
I have had this composter now for about a month (and it's February), and it is slowly filling up. I have had other, double chamber composters before, and they were very annoying since the opening was small and the latches broke after a while and the compost was hard to get out. The RollingComposter Bin has a very sturdy green lid and large opening, and it rolls easily on its base. However, I just rolled it through the snow to the other side of my garden to load in some stuff, and that was so easy. In the summer, when the compost is ready, you just roll it to where it's needed and dump it out! -- no more lugging tarps with compost across the driveway. We bought a second Rolling Composter Bin to have a second chamber where compost can ripen while we fill up the other one. No more messing around with double chambers, since each stands on its own. And the price for both was equivalent to double chamber composters.

Total 5 Stars
We are super pleased with this little composter that we purchased as a replacement for a Miracle Grow Tumbler we got here on Amazon and returned. The Miracle Grow tumbler is a total ripoff after seeing this Hotfrog. We were looking for a small, easily hidden composter and this little guy is perfect. The dimensions are 24'' long x 24'' tall (in the base) x 12'' wide. The tumbler comes completely assembled so it literally goes from box to garden instantly. The plastic is a heavy duty plastic, similar to the thickness one would see on a children's playground. The door to put in contents slides nicely and the composter spins easily in it's base. The instructions that come with have an overview of the composting process along with the do's/don'ts of what to put in. This is our first time composting and are super excited about the process! This is a perfect composter for a small space...just what we needed.

I want to like this more than I do
I really like how compact this is and it is one of the more attractive looking form factors out there but in practical use it becomes more and more difficult to turn as it fills up since its nothing but the round container sitting on top of a formed base. I made the assumption that it would have rollers in the base like others I've seen which it does not. Also a problem is that the door uses friction to stay closed so if you don't have it centered perfectly there is the tendency to have it slide open a bit as your turning it.

kinda love it but has flaws
Love the size, durability, simplicity. Really like that when it is empty I can simply roll it to wherever I want the dirt. No need empty into a wheel barrow first to move the dirt. Very easy to use. Two complaints, seems to let in a lot of rainwater which completely throws off the mix. Second, the hatch takes two hands to open, so when I go out with my container of scraps I have to put it down to open the hatch rather then open with one hand. I also like how low profile it is because it sits on the ground in its little stand and can be turned right on the stand. Very simple. I like overall.

Worth the money for sure.
I’m new at this but it’s most interesting. I’ve used it all summer long and it’s only half full. No assembly was great. No liquid leaks out unless you turn it completely upside down which I don’t. It sits quite conveniently on my back deck. Thought I’d have to move it in the hot summer months but I didn’t. There were days I could smell it, but not bad. I think I made the right purchase.

Small but does the job.
Small -- wouldn't work well for large amounts of yard waste, but I use primarily for food waste. So far, have gotten away with a fall and spring emptying. The sliding door does have a tendency to freeze up in the winter, however -- I quite often had to use something to hammer it open (that said, the frozen plastic didn't crack with the abuse I submitted it to). The only major downside is it is not easy, and very messy to get the compost out of the composter. Basically, you have to lift the composter up and shake the contents out of the small opening. After the initial enthusiasm, I tend not to roll it too often, and likely not enough.
