Ader Sporting Goods Gym Chalk

I was thinking, how do you make chalk sound good? It's chalk. The gym I go to doesn't mind if we use chalk so we made a box and all the power lifters chip in every few months for another box. This stuff last long, it's great to keep your grip on dead lifts, chalking forearms so the bar wont slip for Zercher squats, of course if you have sweaty hands it helps keep your hands where they should be on the bench press. The blocks will retain their shape well or if you prefer powder they're very easy to break up.

I love this chalk. I use it mostly for barbell deadlifts, sometimes for olympic lifts, or for weighted pull-ups and chin-ups. I am sure it would also be great for gymnastics, calisthenics, or any kind of weightlifting. It will protect your hands and keep you from getting bigger calluses. It will also help prevent your calluses from tearing and bleeding. I can deadlift more weight because it gives me a better no-slip grip. I keep it in a little plastic ziplock bag, and use just the tiniest amount on my hand and rub it in. I sneak it into my university's student recreation center and use it there. Don't let anybody see you using it if your gym prohibits it. I use it all the time and nobody has complained or caught me yet. One box (8 bricks) will last you for years. I have given away a few bricks to my friends.

This chalk works very well during my lifts. It's easy to crush up the chalk as well and I also leave a part of the chalk as the block piece if I'm trying not to make a big mess. This 1lb box of chalk will last me for a long time, and for just $14 it's really a steal, compared to chalk that's tagged as the best seller for chalk. Hopefully the price will remain this low and I'll definitely buy this again and recommend this brand if anyone I know is in need of chalk.

Purchased for ASMR. Ader is amazing. All blocks were soft and powdered down very easily. I love the light almost spongy feel to the blocks. This is the texture and consistency I love. I was able to snap the blocks into cubes and I also cracked in half. It was perfect. My blocks came intact, so happy! I just purchased again. Cannot wait for the reforms, I think the consistency will be delightful 🩷🖤🩷🖤

Bought this for home kettlebell workouts. Liquid chalk just wasn't cutting it for longer workouts. It's not as 'thick' as some chalks, but so far is does a good job keeping my hands dry (which is pretty much the point of chalk) and I'm finding I actually kind of like the thinner layer of chalk.

I bought this 8-pack of Ader Gym Chalk for my wife to help with her stress. 2020 has been an extremely stress filled year for her and the only thing that could noticeably calm her down when I wasn’t around was watching ASMR chalk crushing videos on YouTube. I knew I wanted to get her some gym chalk of her own but I had no idea what brand to get or even how much. Turns out this Ader brand is the stuff that a lot of YouTubers use and my wife was extremely happy to have some of her own. The box came with 8 big squares and even a month or so later my wife hasn’t crushed all of them but that is because after she crushes a block she makes sure to mix it with water and reform the blocks. I’m not sure exactly how that process works but I’m sure there are videos on YouTube for it. TLDR: This gym chalk is the perfect stress relief for even the most anxiety filled persons.

As a powerlifter, it is very important to maintain a good grip on the bar. This can especially be difficult when pulling a 1RM deadlift. So in my book Starting and Progressing in Powerlifting , I recommend using chalk on your hands. And this chalk works just as well as any other brand I have tried. But I really did not expect it not to. I mean, it is just magnesium carbonate. You really cannot screw that up. The chalk comes in eight blocks, each individually wrapped, as most chalk does. But being able to get it from Amazon at an inexpensive price and with Amazon Prime is a plus. So I am giving this chalk five stars. Update: My apologies on my first review of this chalk. I thought I had started using it, but I was still using a block from the previous pound I had purchased quite a while ago. When I tried this Ader chalk, it was terrible. It fell apart into powder like crazy, making a mess of my home gym, and it did not help with holding onto the bar for deadlifts on the first hot day in my area this spring. so I guess I was wrong; It is possible to screw up magnesium carbonate, and I thus lowered my rating to one star. Fortunately, I still had a block of my old chalk, so I pitched the whole pound of the Ader chalk and will use my old chalk until I can get some that works the way it is supposed to. My old chalk was Gibson. It is sold here on Amazon under the name RAGE Fitness Block Chalk, White, 1-Pound .
