Have Owned Corby Pants Presses for 50+ Years
This is one of those products that, once you have, you don't want to live without. That's why when my second Corby pants press finally stopped heating after decades of daily use, I was upset that I couldn't find a replacement, even initially on Amazon. After several weeks of searching the internet for a new replacement to no avail, I decided to look once again on Amazon, not expecting to find anything, but did! Amazon shipped it in the original Corby box and it arrived earlier than expected in perfect, new condition. I've now been using the new Corby for several weeks, and my pants have been restored to their daily freshly pressed appearance. I use the press on casual as well as dress pants, and it works exceptionally well on all. I couldn't possibly recommend a product more highly.I note that some reviewers have claimed the quality of today's Corby presses is not up to the standard of the older models, but that is not at all representative of my personal experience. I've owned two Corby's during the last 50+ years, and everything about the new press, down to the backing on the press itself, is the same as my original Corby.

I Love This Thing!
Used one for the first time in a hotel in London—exact same model, wall mounted. Very impressed with ease of use. As the before and after photos show, it didn’t eliminate all the wrinkles however there is great improvement in addition to renewing the front crease on trousers. The results depend on the fabric involved. I suspect wool and polyester blends will do better than linen. Easier than ironing and provides a convenient place to safely hang the jacket.

Incredibly easy to use! Worth the money!
We live in what we like to call a "dry cleaner desert" here in our portion of Colorado. Since we can't get a clean press because of our lack of dry cleaners, we decided to invest in this Corby Pants Press. It's wonderful! Provides a great press, is not intrusive or clunky, and gets the job done.Words of warning. First, this unit will require you to assemble it. Second, it takes between 15 and 45 minutes to press one single item, so brace yourself if you are anticipating a quick press. Besides these two things, its a gem.

They owe me money.
I’m giving it a one star because I bought a discounted corny and it arrived broken. Ok I get it. So I bought a full priced one and I love it and it works great. I’ve actually bought 2 over the years. But it’s been a month and I’m still not reimbursed for the broken discounted one. This product is a 5 star but the customer service is a negative star. I never would have bought the full price one if I knew the company would ignore me like this. How about some character and reimburse my money? I have the UPS receipt, thank heavens.

Works Best if Pants are Steamed First
This is my second Corby. The first one lasted at least 25 years old before the padding got too wrinkly to leave the pants without wrinkles. I was struck how nothing has changed (at least upon visual inspection) since the previous model except it no longer has a little bar that slides out to hold a tie. Not a big deal but that bar was a nice touch. While the machine doesn't look like it's robustly built, the fact that my prior one lasted so long is testament to their quality. Now as to how well it puts a crease in the pants, my experience is if you put in a suit pant it will do an okay job on its own. But if you first steam the pants (i use a Jiffy Steamer which is great) before putting the pants into the press it makes a huge difference. Pants come out much flatter and with a more defined crease. So for me, the Jiffy Steamer is a necessary part of the process. Indeed, if you use the steamer and press together you will almost never need to dry clean your suits. The valet tray on the console is very small. Don't expect it to hold anything but some loose change. It would be nice if Corby thought about upgrading the product by making a much more useable valet tray (and adding back the tie bar). The feet is also a weak spot. They're made of plastic and on my wood floor I'm worried they're gonna scratch the floor so I put felt under the feet to prevent that. Another welcome upgrade would be to offer casters instead of feet. This would make moving the press much easier (not that's it's heavy but if you slide it across a wood floor it may scratch it and it won't move well on carpet). I like to tuck my press out of site when I'm not using it and having casters on the bottom would be really helpful.

Press Onward and Forward
I've made very good use of the Corby 7700 Pants Presser for a couple of decades. This is I believe this is my 3rd one. Eventually they run out of juice, like humans. But I just re-order the next model.

Very handy to have.
If you have never brought one of these, get one. I have had one now for over 30 years, this is my fourth one. Only reason I got a new one, I moved, and the movers left it behind. Devastated, I ordered a new one, I press everything in it, my t shirts, my pants, my sheets, and pillow cases. Shorts, skirts. To me it is as important as the washer and dryer.

British Engineering Fails Again
*Keep in mind that I bought this item from Amazon Warehouse so you might not have the same experience I did with a new one*Upon putting the thing together it became pretty apparent that a lot more effort could have been put into the design to make it easier to use. The thing that annoyed me the most was that it didn't have equipment that keeps the bottom part of the front board from falling off. I found myself constantly trying to put the entire board back in place whenever I opened the machine. When it came to operation, there was absolutely no change in how many wrinkles my pants had no matter what time setting I used. I touched the inside of the thing to see how warm it got and I think just breathing on my pants could've done a better job.It reminded me so much of my old Jaguar- British, had nice little touches that you wouldn't think to put in (like a hanger or coin tray) but fell apart easily and wasn't anything special in terms of performance.Overall, completely disappointed. I gave it a few days just in case I had something wrong but I did everything how I was supposed to. This thing just plain sucked.

Not hot enough to press pants
I wish there was a temperature adjustment for this product. This is overpriced. You are better off getting a steam press for the same price which is much more flexible and higher quality.
