I have very important documents to keep for many years, including my passport, will, car registration certificate and other official documentation. I am always worried that in case of a fire I may lose them forever and I won't be able to restore them (some of them are from my parents), so I was looking for some fireproof bag to protect my documents from fire and in case of flooding (why not :)..) So when I searched on Amazon this particular bag I liked due to its size (others I saw were designed for A5 documents and were pretty small) and a capacity to fill quite many pages (even folders). I also liked the price as other options I saw were more expensive for what they offered. So this particular fireproof bag is a good "value for money" option. When it was delivered my first impression was, that it is very well made, the inner layer is thick and is definitely what you would want to see in a fire proof bag. The outer layer looks very protective, too. I have put my documents in three big A4 size folders and the folders were quite thick, nevertheless this bag was big enough to fit the folders and still some room left for something else. Of course, I would not know for sure how it does it's job unless there is a fire, but I don't want to test it and this bag does give me the necessary peace of mind, that I was looking for and I can now stop worrying so much for losing "my whole life" :).

Lo compré para guardar documentos importantes. Es amplio cogen varias carpetas grandes y el material parece resistente. Evidentemente no probé su resistencia al fuego (y ojalá nunca lo haga), pero parece resistente.

This is a really good size and appears well made. Has a strong odor out of the bag, but I don't think that will matter in the long run. I had a smaller envelope but kept finding more & more things to put in it so I gave the smaller to my daughter & went with this instead.
