Nakijima WP 150 Typewriter
I love this because I only have a tablet-no PC anymore. There are things you have to type. I paid $220. before Christmas when I saw it was on sale which is ok, but it hurts. Before you start typing, take your time and open up the top of the writer, because there is a rectangular block of styrofoam under there, and you'll never get it out by trying to pull it out! I could not lift the lid up initially, and was afraid to put much pressure on it. It finally lifted up, & I could remove the styrofoam. Read the Manual that comes with it. As another reviewer said, the ink was bad when he got his. That happened to me before I read the manual and it was because you Must Remove The Plastic Piece Attached To The Ink Cartridge before typing. After I did that, I was a typing fool! It is a great machine and it came in perfect condition in it's own box which was also in a shipping box. I recommend this typewriter; it is lightweight, compact and easy to use.

Typewriter Works Perfectly!
I am in love with this new electric typewriter. It is so easy on the hands (I have arthritis) that I can type speedily like I used to in the olden days. . The manual explains all the parts and keys of the typewriter, which is exactly what I needed as it has been so many years since I used a typewriter and just wanted one to try my hand at writing again. I am so happy I took the plunge and gave it a try.

A good product, it functions as described and arrived on time. Shiped in its original box. In original box everyone could see what the product was possibly increasing chances of theft.

Kept money on proper return
I bought this product and it didn't work correctly; Misaligned printing and wouldn't advance paper correctly. It was also missing a foot pad which made it unstable on the desktop. I returned it in the proper 30 day window. They still charged me a restocking fee of nearly half the product cost ($90). DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER.

Works fine
I needed to address envelopes and my wife prefers to use a typewriter when writing letters to grandkids, etc. The typewriter comes with clear instructions and is easy to operate. We are pleased with the darkness of the type and the erase feature. It works fine and I would buy again. It was packed with care and arrived in excellent shape.

WISH I’D BOUGHT BROTHERS
Even in this computer age, I still like to have a back-up typewriter. And there are still the odd paper applications that the company hasn’t computerized. I just had this happen with the County’s Vendor application. Go figure. Couldn’t believe it. So I didn’t want to pay the higher Brothers Brand pricepoint. Wish I had. This one types fine but the mechanism is not as smooth & makes this tappity-tap sound that’s a little irritating. You can just tell that the quality isn’t there. Hope this helps!

Type away
The typewriter was perfect. I needed this to work on specific forms for a project that required the responses be typewritten. The forms could not be computer generated. I typed about 50 pages and did not need to change the ribbon.

Not many choices for a typewriter these days!!
I looked a Brother, Nakajima and restored vintage typewriters. The vintage units are super expensive and the providers have real attitude problems. The Brother unit did not have great reviews or reported good reliability. The Nakajima WPT-150 seemed a better choice. Nakajima has been the OEM manufacturer for 6-7 famous brand name typewriter models (Adler, Canon, Olympia, Swintec, Royal, Olivetti, Sears) that have since been discontinued in a shrinking market. So Nakajima seemed like the best bet. The WPT-150 turned out to meet our needs quite nicely. It does everything that a basic typewriter is supposed to do and more. And at about $135 with shipping, how much am I risking?. We use it for labels, 3x5 cards, forms and the other typical typewriter chores. So it will get very light duty over time. I spoke with the service folks in NC to ask some questions about sources and part numbers for ribbons and printwheels. I was very impressed with their friendliness and technical knowledge. After a couple days of using the typewriter, we went ahead and bought 6 ribbons (#XC001), a package of correction tapes (#LO001) and an Orator 10 printwheel.
