Hoppe's Boresnake® - Rifles Cleaner

I have used two sizes of these bore snakes and I love them. It speeds up the process of cleaning your guns or rifles and it does a great job doing it. I shoot a lot of .223 and 9mm and so far those are the sizes I use the most. I will have to wind up getting a 40/45 cal version soon. I like how the bore snake works by having a cleaning section, a bore bush section, a drying section and a lubrication section. I have found the bore snake to do a great job of cleaning my rifle and my pistols and I recommend them. It has greatly reduced my cleaning time. I actually go to the range more often now as it is easier to clean my guns. I also like how it has reduced my use of patches and rods which can scratch your barrel while cleaning. These snakes are easy to use and they are washable and reusable. I just toss them into a ziplock bag and carry them in my range kit or in my cleanup bag. This is a good product and I rated it at 5 stars. I even purchased another pair of these for my son and his wife as they go shooting with me all of the time.

Wow, the Hoppe's Boresnake M-16, .22-.225 Caliber Rifle is like having a magic rope for my toy guns! When I use it, it's like giving my toy rifles a special hug to make them all clean and shiny. I saw my dad using it, and he said it's like a superhero for cleaning guns. Well, I felt like a superhero too when I tried it! It's really easy to use – I just pull it through the barrel, and it takes away all the dirt and stuff. And you know what? It's like a game! I pretend I'm a secret agent cleaning my special spy rifle. It's like a secret mission to keep my toy guns in tip-top shape. And when I'm done, they look so nice and new, just like when I got them! Well, at first I was skeptical. I've never used one of these 'bore snakes' so it was a learning experience for me. The first time I used it, it was so tight pulling through the bore I thought I was going to break off the pull cord. However, after a couple of pulls through the bore of two different rifles it 'conditioned' itself and worked as advertised. This thing makes it so easy and quick to clean the bore I can't believe I didn't get one earlier. Really does a nice job! I just dip the brush part in a little Hoppe's #9 and send it through, it's that easy! They are cheap enough that I purchased one for .22 pistols and one for 9mm pistols. If I don't do anything else when I come home from the range except run this BoreSnake through the bore, I'm good with that until I do a more thorough cleaning on the rest of the firearm.

I've had two .22 - .223 boresnakes, and they've been really great. Manageable to pull through, but snug enough to clean very well. I have one .45 version, which I use for a .410 shotgun. I figured four hundredths of an inch was a bit too far off, but a gun shop owner that thought 410 was a gauge rather than a bore insisted it'd work normally. I was right; it's extremely snug. Halfhearted games of tug of war can be played without it budging. Bore's totally clean with one pass, though. I have the 12g version and it's slightly loose, but it does clean well with a few passes. I've had two of the 308 - 30 boresnakes. The first one worked nicely until I damaged it by using it in things other than barrels, which made it pass through 308 barrels loosely, and not clean very well. I bought another, and it was worse than the damaged one; slips through effortlessly, does nothing to clean the grooves of the rifling, totally useless for its intended purpose. Maybe I'll give it to someone with a 7mm or .280 or something.

Cleaning my gun has never been easier. Man i love this thing. So easy to use. It takes literally no time at all. I have spent hours cleaning my guns and making them look nice. This product turns those hours to minutes. Ready to use right out of the package. I wish i would have found this product sooner. Really easy to use and really easy to put in any space of your gun case. Highly recommend this if your someone who likes to clean your gun right after using it. I love being able to run this through my rifle right on the spot where i used it. Great purchase! I realize how important a good review is to a buyer. I give honest and heart felt reviews on products that a purchase and receive. I base most of my purchases on reviews so I understand that it is fair to be completely honest on reviews. This is my product review of the hoppe*s 223/5.56 bore snake this rifle bore able comes equipped with a bore brush in the front part of the snake and at the end a tail to place the gun line on this is a all round cleaning tool not only for the range but hunting as well easy to use chord that goes down the barrel with Ease but a bore bush cleaning patch chord and a line tail so it is one pull and done in cleaning takes about 4-5 mins to set up and clean your rifle with precision cleaning no more patches and rods and cleaning kits no more getting rid tips to fit the bore and all the hassle just one and done this is my review of the Hoppe*s bore rifle cleaning snake 5/5

I use this Hoppe's 24011 BoreSnake Rifle Bore Cleaner to clean the barrel on a Sig 556xi rifle. It works great: fast, easy, and very effective. I just squirt a generous amount of gun oil on the tail end and pull it through. It leaves the barrel nice and shiny in only one or two passes, and allows me to go much longer between cleanings. I was going to purchase the newer Viper version of the BoreSnake for a few dollars more just to try it, but I came across so many negative reviews claiming that the cord on the .223/5.56 size breaks easily, leaving the brush stuck in the barrel. I decided to play it safe and stick with this traditional/original BoreSnake version. It works great, and based on the reviews, it appears that quality control may be better for the original BoreSnake than for the newer Viper versions. Just something to be aware of. Overall, I highly recommend this product for quick barrel cleaning at the range or in the field, and for extending the length of time between full tear-down cleanings.

Fabulous product. Keeps a barrel clean even without bore gel. Just run it through once or twice every 150 or so rounds and you'll be laughing when it gets to your next big barrel clean. No other product is so simple, easy, or effective. Solid product, maybe a little pricey, but the premium is worth it for this unique and powerful product. Go for it.

Super Produkt, sehr gute Verarbeitung. Es hält was es verspricht. Bei mir gab es Probleme mit der Lieferung, nachdem ich darauf Kontakt mit dem Verkäufer aufnahm bekam ich binnen kürzester Zeit eine Antwort. Nach kurzer Erläuterung der Situation kam der Verkäufer mir direkt entgegen und sorgte für Eine Lösung. 5 Sterne nicht nur für das Produkt sondern auch für den Verkäufer !

Che dire... E' la classica Hoppe's BoreSnake: l'hanno inventata loro! Come premessa, vorrei dire che l'utilizzo principale di questa corda è la pulizia 'sul campo' della canna e camera di cartuccia (ad esempio al poligono, durante la caccia, ecc.): per una manutenzione accurata, vale sempre la procedura con smontaggio/pulizia/lubrificazione di tutti i componenti. Sulla durata, per ora, posso esprimere solo un giudizio parziale in quanto ho usato poche volte questo Snake per 223 Rem, ma avendone usati altri della stessa marca e di calibri differenti, mi aspetto un ottimo servizio per lungo tempo! Inoltre, quando è sporco, si può lavarlo con detersivo sgrassatore/per i piatti e torna praticamente nuovo. Tempi di consegna molto rapidi, sempre in standard Amazon. Riassumendo: un ottimo prodotto!

Compre el de escopeta y tuve que comprar el de rifle .22, funciona muy bien y lo mejor de todo es que ahorras pasos y tiempos en la limpieza.

Vraiment facile d'utilisation.. et rapide à nettoyer. Je le conseille à tout les utilisateurs de 22 et 5.56 (qui est compatible car même diamètre de canon) qui veut faire un rapide nettoyage avant et après chaque session de tir sans sortir tout le matériel habituel.
