If you want to buy this step for step aerobics, I would look at other models. This one is too narrow( 11 inches wide) while the Step brand models are around 14 inches wide. But if you want something to do simple step-ups this should work fine. I bought this step as a board to lay my hands on when I do planks/pushups/burpees because the support helps with my weak wrists and flexibility. In 6 inch mode, I can tuck the board under my bed but the risers are snap-ons and don't come off easily so plan on leaving the risers on/off for a fixed amount of time. I use the board on the carpet so I don't know how it would stay on a hard floor. The bottom of the risers don't have a cushion but there are 2 small rubber pins on each 6 inch riser to support the board. Because the board suits my purpose and is within my price range I gave it 4 stars. One star is marked off because the quality is average for the price range and I don't see this product having a very long durability.

The step is simple and functional. Accompanied by the price, this is a great starting step for your workout room.

I opted to save a few dollars and get a returned version, Used - Like New, because it doesn't need to look pretty, but it does. Only very small blemishes, but barely noticeable. I like how it's sturdy, and wide enough that I don't have to worry where I step. I'm 5'7" and about 160lbs, and have to be careful with aerobic exercise, so this seemed like a 'step' in the right direction (haha). The risers don't stay put underneath, they just fit inside but don't click in. Depending on how you store it, that might not matter, but something to know. Not a big deal for me, since I'm leaving it doubled anyway. The item even came with a nifty exercise sheet (see pic), which is a nice refresher on what can be done with the stepper. In my pix, I show the height in both inches and centimeters - but you can see that the step is just a little under 6in at tallest, and exactly 15cm. I'm hoping that I will use this to exercise, since my Eliptical machine collects dust... it's noisy and is in our garage, and it's too hot in there during the Florida summer! I feel like I can do a simple workout while watching TV (in the AC) and not impose on anyone else in the house. I do recommend this Step, not just for the look or price, but because it's exactly what someone needs if they are shopping for one. Nothing fancy, just a sturdy step that comes in nice colors.

The additional parts to make the step taller are conveniently tucked under the step. They only fit well one way to ensure your step is steady. A little force is needed to put the additional step adjustment on, but easy to do. Wide step allows for plenty of room for feet during exercise. Also comes with a sheet of various exercises you can do.

I bought this so I could do a virtual boot camp class from home. I wear a women's size 10 shoe. This step is so narrow that I can't step up directly on it without having to angle my feet slightly to the sides to have full foot stability on the step. I would NOT feel comfortable doing real box jumps on this thing. It's fine for step ups if I take care in foot placement. Basically, I'm making due with this, and it is holding up well to gentle workouts, but I would rather have one that I could jump onto with both feet and feel like there was room for my feet! If you have tiny feet (like women's size 6) this would probably be fine.

I have had this for about a week. It's very sturdy.You can definitely use it for a workout. It's smaller then some of the steppers at the gym but it's perfect for doing basic stepper workouts. I am 5' 11" and I wear a women's size 11 running shoe. I can use it for planks, heel and calf stretches. I had no problems with stepping off or my feet not fitting as some reviews have stated. The extensions are a little hard to get into place but I just used my weight to slide them in place. It creaks a little at first until they are firmly in place. So far I like it. I am on the heavy side and find this product to be made well and very sturdy. I am using it for the times when its too cold to go walk or run. Its a great cardio workout. I do it while listening to my ipod, watching Netflix or listening to audio books. I slide it right under the bed when I am not using it. I really worked up a swear in 20 minutes. I have three or 4 basic moves that I use.

Wife is using regularly. The material and build quality are perfect. Not sure what the more expensive ones offer, but this one is everything you'd expect. The pegs come off to make it different heights.

Está excelente, diario hago ejercicio y va muy bien, lo único malo es que si se derrapa en el piso, yo lo pongo sobre un tapete o de lo contrario me resbalo. Con el aditamento extra que trae si queda alto pero puedes o no ponerlo, considero que con el precio es bueno lo que recibes.
