1/8" Expandable Sleeving 25 ft. Black

Used on a boat to cover LED black light wiring. Works great and looks great compared to plain wires dangling around. A little tricky when pushing the limits of the size wire it is intended for, but just order the right size and you should be fine. I used 1/8 inch sleeving to route two 12V 18 gauge primary red/black wires and worked great. Soldered my connections, then covered with heat shrink tube to cut down on width and was able to cover the connections as well. Put heat shrink tubing over the ends like someone else mentioned, and made for a professional looking job.

Nothing terribly fancy, expands extremely well, ends can be burnt off to stop from fraying or heat shrink tubed down as well. Easy to work with, more aesthetically pleasing than plain wire (especially if it has brightly colored insulation), provides some protection, etc. Bought 75 ft. of it and have found many excellent uses for it (like home stereo speaker wire that runs along the wood floor, putting a black sleeve on it helps it blend in). Would definitely recommend and will most likely buy more!

Great stuff for running thin wiring in your car (or house) and protecting it. A long piece of stiff wire with one end smoothed/rounded drags it through easily.

I bought this to protect some wires from chafing where I was running them next to metal panels on a school bus conversion. They work great. You do need to heat shrink them on the ends so they don't fray, but that is to be expected. They work like a chinese finger trap, push in and they expand.

I used this to give more support to my wiring for my RTD probe. Was able to bundle 3 wires with a steel cable and another round of the same size sleeving (different color) over all of that. There are other sleeving out there with tighter weaving patterns but not for this price! Will definitely purchase again if I run out.

i wanted to make a cloth covered cord for a pair of nicer headphones, and for a replacement cord on a vintage stereo receiver. this stuff went on the cord easily (mogami mini quad in one application, standard lamp cord in the other). while it's flexible enough for use in the stereo application and the headphone application, i'd only use it for the former. it's a little stiffer than you'd want it to be for headphones, and the material is a little noisy if it touches anything, and that resonates up into your ears. also, it's frayed in a couple spots along the cord in my headphones application, but i won't hold it against them too much since it's not a standard application.

cool stuff. Pull it tight to make it thinner, push it in a little to make it fatter. Just like chinese finger trap. Shrink wrap the ends and you've got a really nice sleeve protecting your wires.

What I received was indeed labeled on package as Techflex 1/8" Expandable Sleeving, but was actually an open sheathing rather than a closed, chinese fingercuff type expandable sleeving. So, what I got was open along entire length, not closed, and does not expand hardly at all. Also not at all what the photo looks like.
