Solid, quality product that works great
After 1 week of use, the CS510 seems to have all the great qualities of the CS351N, which I used for the past 7 years. Comfortable, clear sound both listening and speaking, works everywhere in my office, and very reliable. The headset seems exactly the same as what I had before. They're a reasonably light weight, have the look and feel of quality, and I have no problem wearing them all day. I have lighter and smaller headphones for other uses, but these work great, look fine at work, and none of them lasted 7 years with no problems. I'm happy with this type of headset but Plantronics offers other versions with the CS500 models if you want stereo sound or a lighter headset. I also considered the Savi unified communications models, but have a multi-line desk phone and also forward my cellphone calls to it, so I didn't think I would use the extra features of the Savi. After 7 years of satisfactory results with the CS351N, I decided it best to stay with the same type of system. Installing the CS510 literally took less than 10 minutes. It took me about 40 minutes to get the reception, listening and speaking quality and volume right. I tried doing it myself first, then called the (800) sound adjustment tutorial listed in the User Guide, which made it much easier. Probably would've taken less than 20 minutes to get the adjustments right if I had called the (800) first.

This is an awesome headset!
Right out of the box, plugged it in, charged it, and ready to go. Here are a few thoughts: 1. Set up was a breeze. 2. The charge cradle is totally cool and convenient. 3. Sound quality is excellent both ways. 4. Range, range, range. It goes much farther than my old cordless phone. You should know this headset plugs into the handset cord of your phone, and you'll need to lift your handset for this to work. However, some phones, especially new IP phones, have a separate 2.5 mm headset jack, which can be activated with a button, and without lifting the handset. That's how I wanted to use this, so I bought the Headset Buddy RJ9-PH25-Female RJ9/RJ22 to Male 2.5mm Headset Adapter from Amazon. Search on it--it's inexpensive and works great! The combo of the headset and the adapter has made my life MUCH easier. This is by far the best headset I've ever owned.

Reliable headset, that is easy to set up and use. Easy to replace battery.
A reliable, easy to use workhorse headset with excellent clarity of tone and superb range. We have four of them in our office and have been very, very pleased with them. Two of our sets are about seven years old and still going strong. The battery in them is easily replaced (lasts for what seems like forever), and the headsets last all day without needing to be recharged (two of them are in use constantly as staff answers incoming calls on our main line). We have recommended this headset to several other offices. They purchased them and are also very pleased with the quality.

Works very well. Good sound quality. Good volume. Good range. no lag.
I'm very satisfied with this phone. I had a fear that the headset wouldn't be very loud (something I experienced with a different headset). But I can hear just fine without having to max out the volume. Being wireless, I was worried about a delay between the time I say something and the other person hears it (or vice versa). There is no lag though. It sounds the same as if I was using the wired handset. I tested it calling others to see how I sounded and most could hear me just fine. Only a few said I sounded a little soft. The range is really good too. I work in a 3 story building with a hallway that is about 170 ft long. My office is on the first floor at the end of the hallway. I was able to answer a call on the 3rd floor at the opposite end of the hall from my office. It was probably the max of the range. But It's good to know that if I have to run down the hallway or go up a floor, I don't have to worry about missing a call.

Constant Connectivity Issues
I work from home dealing with clients over the phone all day, so reliable equipment is mandatory. This headset and the APU-75 adapter cable used to connect to my PC (softphone) is anything but reliable. I had read the reviews of many who had experienced similar problems with this equipment before I made my purchase, and I said, "It won't happen to me." Wrong! Pros: + The range is great! I can walk all over my modest house and never have an issue. + The battery life is fantastic! I sometimes work 10 hour days, constantly on the phone, and the battery just keeps going. + The audio quality (when it is working) is terrific! Clear and crisp. Cons: - Sometimes when I initiate or answer a call, there is a delay as I have to wait for the base to engage with the headset, with an audible "click" as a relay closes, so the beginning of the call is lost. Clients hang up, or the patient ones have to repeat themselves. - Often during a call the client can hear me just fine, but midway through the call my audio drops so low they cannot hear me any more. I am forced to quickly switch over to "speakerphone" using my PC speakers and microphone to finish the call, giving up the normally fabulous Plantronics sound quality just to maintain a connection with the client. - I often hear absolutely nothing when I answer calls. Again, I am forced to quickly switch to using my PC speakers/mic to hear the client, hoping they are still there, and begrudgingly asking them to repeat everything they just said. I have tried this equipment with the same results on two different computers, both well above average in performance and completely up to date regarding software (i.e. Windows 10 Pro, Plantronics Hub, etc.). The usual "fix" for these problems is to disconnect/reconnect the power and adapter cable. Sometimes this works the first time, sometimes it must be done 2-3 times. Sometimes I will have to do this once a day, sometimes 6 or 8 times a day. Plantronics support also had me try disconnecting the battery inside the headset, which will sometimes correct the problem if disconnecting the other cables doesn't. The entire scenario is inconsistent and difficult to pin down from a troubleshooting perspective, and I must give Plantronics support credit for trying. The only solution they have offered is to replace the APU-75 adapter cable which was still under warranty, but they were only guessing that it might correct part of the problem, and doubtful that it would correct all of the problems. Plus, they wanted me to ship my old, potentially defective cable to them, and once it was received they would ship a new cable back to me. Excuse me? Should I just take two weeks (or longer) off of work? And for something that MIGHT fix PART of the problem? They asked if I had another headset I could use while waiting for the new cable. No, I don't. They suggested I buy one. I told them if I buy another headset, it will be a replacement for my Plantronics. And that is what I am doing: looking for a replacement for my Plantronics equipment. It is such a shame, too. The product works so well when it is working!

WORTH EVERY PENNY: High quality construction; Super comfortable; Fantastic range and Sound quality
My previous headset was a "cheaper" model from one of the smaller manufacturers. The base broke which meant I couldn't charge the headset which had to be removed each time from the over the head foundation. I purchased it through my then IT tech who bought it from a 3rd party seller. I couldn't imagine spending more than $300 on the phone and then more on the headset lifter. Little did I know that I could get this high quality headset for about than $200 with separate EHS on Amazon. My Polycom VVX 600, as well as my older VVX 410 has a setting for Plantronic and the installation took less than five minutes. The headset has great range even at the other end my L-shaped 1000 sq ft office suite. The over the head, over the ear set up is super comfortable for someone like me who has had trouble with in the ear devices fitting properly and it has more stability that the over the ear versions. The set-up was extremely simple, even with the EHS component, which I highly recommend. I understand that old schoolers are more accustomed to the traditional headset lifter, but the EHS is literally plug and play and forget. The base is is small, sleek and allows you to recharge without having to dismantle the receiver from the over the head portion. I'm very picky with my AV devices and this one is a keeper.

Entire office now has them
I bought one of these last summer. I work in a software development office, where we do a lot of collaborative calls with clients, and do some product support. This headset is amazingly high quality. Within a couple months, everyone had purchased one of these headsets for their office phone. Pros: very light weight excellent range excellent reception quality construction and buttons Con: I wish that the mute was more clear... it is a simple high pitched beep to activate, and a low pitched beep to deactivate. I would have much preferred more clear feedback, such as "muted" and "microphone activated". But, this is easily overlooked by how much I like these overall. There is also a red light on the base unit when you mute, however, since they are wireless, I often find myself walking around the office while on a call.

Works great with my Polycom SoundPoint IP 321 and Digium D40 phones
So far this headset is working great on my Polycom SoundPoint IP 321 phone but I needed to buy the "Headset Buddy RJ9-PH25-Female RJ9/RJ22 to Male 2.5mm Headset Adapter" to get it to work properly. Plantronics didn't say that I needed the adapter when I called them before ordering it and, after I got it and it wasn't working, they owned up to the fact that I needed an adapter but Polycom only sells them in 5-packs for about $80. The Headset Buddy adapter was the only way I could find to buy only one adapter. UPDATE - March 2015 - I've had this for over 3 years and it continues to work great. I now have it connected to a Digium D40 phone which uses the Plantronics APP-51 cable and no other adapter to connect. It's incredibly liberating to be able to get up and move around and away from my desk at my home office while still talking. It works everywhere in my house and even outside 100-200 feet away from my front door.

Très confortable
Le casque est très confortable. La qualité de son est identique au casque avec fil. La batterie a une bonne autonomie. Il y a quelques ajustements à faire pour optimiser la réception et la transmission de la voix. Très satisfaite!

Great product
Tried a few other products in market for office staff. There was one or other problem. This one with the handset lifter works very well. Receptionist happy, I am happy.

Good for people who don't move too far from phone base or talk too much in day
Not as long a battery life as my previous Plantronics headsets. If you are someone who is on the phone all day.. .this is not a good option. Sound quality is good, but range could be better. Still a high quality product.
