Rock-Solid Wall Pull-Up Bar for Garage or Home Gym
Rock-Solid Wall Pull-Up Bar for Garage or Home Gym This OneTwoFit wall-mounted pull-up bar turned out to be a great addition to my garage gym setup. Once installed properly, it feels solid and professional—sturdy enough for pull-ups, chin-ups, and even hanging accessories like gymnastic rings or resistance bands. The construction is heavy-duty steel with a nice black powder coating that resists rust and scratches. I weigh about 200 lbs, and the bar doesn’t flex or creak at all during use. The six-hole mounting system really helps spread the load evenly, and the grips are surprisingly comfortable—firm enough to feel secure but not abrasive on the hands. Installation takes a bit of planning, especially if you’re mounting to studs that are 16 inches apart (the brackets are closer to 19"). I followed the common trick of mounting two horizontal 2x4s first and bolting the bar to those, which made it rock-solid. The included hardware is fine for concrete or brick walls, but I’d recommend picking up stronger fasteners from a hardware store if you’re using wood. Once up, it’s not going anywhere. I also like that it projects far enough from the wall to allow a full range of motion—no knees or feet hitting the surface behind you. It’s stable, clean-looking, and rated up to 440 lbs, which inspires confidence. Bottom line: A sturdy, stable, and well-built pull-up bar that performs like commercial gym equipment once properly installed. Installation requires some care, but the end result is absolutely worth it.

Solid. Install took some elbow grease
This is sturdy. Assembling it was easy. Installing is going to be completely up to you. Directions are unintelligible. The posts and holes on this are about 19 inches on center, so clearly wider than 16” studs. I knew that when I bought it. I didn’t have the width to buy a model with on-stud brackets Because those tend to be 32 inches wide or more. This one fit my space. As you can see by my pics, I built a 2x4 stringer rigging and attached those to the studs with lag bolts. I used 3/8” x 5” lags and washers. Then I attached the unit to the 2x4s using 3/8” x 2” lags and washers. This might be slight overkill but I don’t want to rip this out of the wall when I’m doing pull-ups. I am 225lbs and it did not flinch with me using it. So far so good. My son who is less than 100lbs will have no problems. Obviously, find the center of your studs. It’s a little bit of a puzzle to figure out how to get all of this to line up and to be level, but if you have hung things like TVs on the wall, you’ll be fine. If you’ve never hung anything heavy before, maybe consider consulting with a friend or relative who has. There are lots of videos out there to help too. Definitely need a good wratchet, preferably with a long extension to help with leverage when cranking the five inch lags. Also, this provides a good anchor for the various strength band attachments.

Very sturdy than I thought it would be!
The bar is actually really great and very sturdy! Mounting was easy as well! Hanging a heavy bag even worked great. The downsides I'll have to say is the bar length for wide grips seems a bit too long and wide grip pull ups can be a bit risky for shoulder health. Or maybe because my size is average and could be fine for being taller folks. Secondly it'd be nice if there was more rubber grip paddings on the other handles near the wide grips for doing regular pull ups. Third, I think the rubber grips in the middle should've been much tighter as they tend to slip around when dropping and the grips misalign. Fourth, it was delivered safely but there was a slight bent on the flat steel to mount it making it bit odd to measure and straighten the bar, and fifth the six screws aren't too great for mounting against the wall so you may need better tools than the ones already given incase the wall type you have isn't suitable Overall the quality is good!

Great Pull-Up Bar!
Before I purchased this piece of equipment I looked for possibly 3 hours on amazon for all the products available and reading every single review. I finally chose to purchase this bar as I believed it would be the best based on cost, build, reviews. I was a bit skeptical after a few reviews said that the bar was not holding the users weight or they had issues with installation. I was trying to figure out if there were any issues with the assembly and the best way to attach to CMU block. The hardware that comes with the bar has concrete anchors, which being that I don’t have a hammer drill would be hell to install. I decided to purchase some 1/4” Tapcons At my local hardware store(2”-1/4” in length as I wanted to ensure it would grip on the CMU block). Even without a hammer drill, I set my drill to the hammer setting to install and didn’t take very long to have the bar installed. The drill bit should come with the Tapcons, but just in case to those who do not know what size drill bit to use, it’s a 3/16” concrete drill bit. The 1/4” Tapcons fit just fine and I have been using this bar for 2 Months about 3 times a week for all my calisthenics exercises. I’ve attached rings as well and I have not noticed any issues with the build of the bar. I am 230 lbs. and the bar is solid as can be. No issueA with bowing or bending. Great Product!

I kinda wrestled with what score I wanted to give this pullup bar
Pros: * Fits together snug, no wiggle (for now) * Has all the hardware * Provided wrench has the sizes (13mm and 10mm) stamped on the metal in case you want to use a ratchet * Grips seem quality and feel comfortable * Having the space to walk under is really nice * Fits frame pads rest flat on the wall of thinner walls on new construction (our house was built in 2018) Cons: * Incomplete parts list and incomplete assembly instructions. Doesn't list how many of each washer they should have for what size * Main bar assembly bolt is supposed to have a washer but that is not depicted QC: * Main bar would not go together without a lot of persuasion. The coating on the bar was put on the male part of the bar. This caused a clearance issue when assembling and made it very difficult (took 15min of banging on the ground, wiggling apart and then twisting to wear the coating away) to get the assembly bolt installed. Ended up having to reassemble after the fact because I didn't have the washer installed because it was not depicted or described in the instructions. Questionable: * The bolt for the assembly of the square door frame mounts has an oversized square hole (for carriage bolt) but the bolts are round. It causes some slop when installing but after tightening down there is no wiggle (for now) * The main bar is two pieces. This makes it compact and easy to ship, but it would be stronger as one single bar Moral/Ethical: * This product has a 4.6 star rating but it is unclear if those reviews are for this product or a different product. There is a trend of companies having one item listed, getting high reviews and then swapping the product out for a different one instead of creating a new listing instantly inflating the perceived quality and popularity of the product. This is a dishonest practice and to be honest kinda shady. ATM I would say buy it but be aware of the caveats. I will update my review in the future if I feel it should be higher and lower.

Wish I could know if it worked...
Came without screws and the one tool was different from the manual and is essential in the assembly.. yet the pieces were firm and sturdy just was not able to put it together due to missing screws and pieces.
