IELTS 5 Practice Tests, General Set 5: Tests No. 21-25 (High Scorer's Choice)

Simone provided extra set of practice books along with my purchase which I was very happy about as it provided more opportunities for me to review my language abilities. I found the tests in this book more difficult than the actual IELTS test which is okay because you get to really build your language skills and test strategies.

The book is prepared extremely close to the real tests I have taken some times ago. The previous time I hadn't had a chance to read her book. I believe that I will do far better in this coming Ielts test by using this book as one of the materials.

After I took several practice test of this book, it felt harder than the standard test to me. But after my IELTS exam, I realized that this degree of difficulty is necessary to stay focused during the real IELTS test. I highly recommend this book if your goal is to score high.

While preparing for IELTS. I was looking for sample question papers. I bought this set and found it to be very good and covers various types of questions that appear in an actual IELTS exam. I would highly recommend using these sets of sample tests.

Amazing book with real test pattern. I used these as mock tests and it helped me get the feel of real test. Highly recommended!

Good book very helpful

This is a great book for anyone who wants to prepare for the IELTS test. The material is great for learning the structure of the test, and it also comes with very helpful answers and tips at the back for the exercises. Highly recommended!

As an IELTS tutor and coach, I have access to large numbers of books and practice test materials for IELTS Academic but it's not been so easy to find high quality practice for the General Test. Having found IELTS Blog, hand on heart I'm highly delighted with quality of GT practice and the additional support materials provided by the author Simone, and the Academic tests I seen are at least as good. Ottimo libro per la preparazione dell'esame. Le risposte sono ben strutturati - c'è l'indicazione di dove trovare la risposta nel testo, quindi gli studenti non rimangono con il dubbio o l'incertezza sulla risposta corretta. Consiglio per chi prepara l'esame e anche a chi vuole esercitarsi in inglese.

Having practised other test books in the same series, I found this one a little more challenging than the others, but not tough. Some of the questions are structured to be tricky, which in my opinion, is a great way to test your skills & learn better for the actual test. By the end of the book, I felt a lot more confident & my scores had improved! Absolutely must give this a shot!

These practice tests were huge part of my preparation, and they can make one feel confident during an actual exam. I believe they can be a very useful resource for test takers.

Start is bound with a timer set to simulate and evaluate yourself as there are only 5 tests. The reading and listening parts are the highlight in my opinion. However, given all are on a very similar pattern I felt there was not a lot of variety. Speaking section was very minimal with not a lot of instructions in them, the big part there is that Speaking is very fast paced in real, but I didn’t get that in the practice test. The other part is the complexity in questions, while I do believe the quality is quite close to the real test, it doe lack a bit as the questions I got in the real test were a bit more challenging.
