Klein Tools VDV526-100 Network LAN Cable Tester, VDV Tester, LAN Explorer wit...

Works perfect , easy to use small and lightweight and it’s a quality tool from a quality company , yes you can buy cheaper but honestly the few dollars more you spend on this is worth it imho .

I first saw this Klein Tools VDV526-100 being used at jobs by other techs, and they all spoke highly of it — so I decided to get one for myself. After using it on several installs and troubleshooting runs, I can say I’m very happy with the purchase. This tester is a great option for checking network and LAN cables. It’s simple to operate but still powerful enough to catch shorts, mis-wires, splits, and continuity issues that cheaper testers often miss. One of the biggest advantages is that it comes with a remote unit, so you can test cables over long distances — even when the ends are in different rooms or buildings — without guessing or running extra trips.I’ve used it on CAT5, CAT6, and other common runs, and it consistently gives clear, accurate results. If you do network installs, maintenance, or troubleshooting, this is a tool you’ll find yourself reaching for again and again. Klein Tools didn’t disappoint — solid build quality and dependable performance.Highly recommended for pros and DIYers alike.

Whether you’re a professional or just working on DIY projects, this tester is a must-have for anyone dealing with Ethernet cables. The build quality is top-notch, as you would expect from Klein Tools—sturdy, durable, and designed to last.Using the tester is incredibly straightforward. It quickly identifies open circuits, miswires, and short circuits, saving me tons of time diagnosing issues with my Ethernet cables. The results are clear and easy to read on the LED indicators, and the auto power-off feature is a nice touch for saving battery life. I was able to test multiple Cat5e and Cat6 cables without any trouble, and it accurately verified the connections each time. The compact size also makes it easy to carry around, which is perfect for on-the-go testing. Overall, the Klein Tools VDV526-100 is reliable, efficient, and extremely user-friendly. It’s an excellent tool for both network professionals and home users. I highly recommend it for anyone needing a dependable cable tester!

Good tool, works well

Works

I got this to test ethernet cables, but I don't use it very often. This is an extremely easy diagnostic tool to use and is very heavy duty. It is a nice bright color so I can find it easy. This was worth the money and is nice to have as I learn how to do more.

excelente producto

I purchased this because I have a buried cable from the shed to the house for a camera that stopped working. Using this tester, I could see that my buried cable was no longer good. Using this tester, I didn't have to take other cameras down and move them around to see which ones worked and which ones didn't. Saves time and guesswork.

Excelente, cumple muy bien su propósito. Aunque es muy básico y no tiene funciones complejas es muy útil. Lo he usado con con dos tipos de cable sin problema. Sin duda lo recomiendo

Great tester for quickly determining cabling issues. Received very quickly!

Fantastic and easy to use.

As a advanced DIY'er building a security camera network, this tool has allowed me to check all my Cat 6 runs and fly leads. The removable remote is nice and small and lightweight.I'm on the fence with the LED; I have a short and all I know it's a short on the cable but I don't know what wire is the issue unlike other tools that do show the status of each of the 8 wires. But the result is the same - I have to chase a 200 foot wire for a problem. Not a cheap tool but a good size for your toolbox and simple to use.I always say you get what you pay for and I'm happy with this gadget.

Demora hm pouco pra se acostumar com padrão mais o acabamento e o tamanho compacto são pontos positivos. Gostei e recomendo
