Fat Daddio's Round Springform Pan, 3 inch high - 10"

I made 2 cheesecakes for a crowd of friends yesterday. They both turned out perfectly! I especially liked the design of the bottom being raised and that the pan heats uniformly. Removal from the pan was a breeze with no injury to the cakes.

Bought the 8x3 inch pan. I have half a dozen spring form pans. The Fat Daddio is the bomb. Heavy duty and very well made. Puts the others to shame. I’ve churned out 3 cheese cakes already and no issues. Some folks say it leaks. If so, they either placed the ring on upside down (it’s marked Top and Bottom) or they used too thin a batter. Spring form pans are not “water” tight. I really like the pan lip for moving/picking up the FD. It’s now a single hand operation. Another nice thing is you can tear a sheet of parchment paper off the roll, lay it down on the pan and place the ring right over it and it seals just fine. My other pans, I had to cut a round of parchment or it would tear when clamping the ring. If I had to list a con…it would be that the rivets heads on the inside of the ring (that attach the spring clip) are not flush and leave two dimples on the side of the cheese cake. I had to stretch for that con. Last, and nothing to do with the pan, it was shipped in a non-padded paper envelope. I expected damage to the pan when I opened the envelope but happily had none. Whomever is shipping these should rethink the packaging to avoid disappointed customers. If the rest of Fat Daddio’s products are made to the same heavy duty quality…I’ll be buying more in short order.

Love the height of this pan. Cooks evenly. Just use a parchment paper liner between bottom and sides to make sure there are no leaks.

Used it to make a blueberry gateau. Even though I buttered it liberally and dusted with flour, the blueberries stuck to the metal and left brown-colored stains on it. Also, be very careful not to cut anything on it, I have a tooth mark on the base from trying to cut a small piece of crust. It does not pass the water test - water runs freely through it - but this is true of most springform pans. This pan receives great reviews from individuals and review companies, but I'm a little disappointed.

This pan is awesome! Used it to make a chiffon cake and then an ice cream cake. Performed really well. This is the 3rd (or 4th?) Fat Daddio’s pan I’ve purchased. I’m a big fan.

It’s the Cadillac of springform cake pans. Love it! I wasn’t sure if I should spend the money, but glad I did. Easy to lift out of the hot oven because of it’s lip, no weird tight corner to scrub free of stuck batter, and the lip catcher any seeping liquids like butter from cake pan making it easy to clean both the pan and the oven. Worth the cost.

I did some research and noticed that Fat Daddio's springform pan consistently ranked at the top of the pack. Purchased this and was happy to see that I was not deceived. The components are sturdy and the seal around the base was secure. I was further more happy to see that my cheesecake baked very nicely and did not crack at all even without a water bath.

Great value for the price

Would have been perfect if it was leakproof. Not advertised as such but I was hoping it was.

The product is deformed when received and there is a gap when close tight. I am not sure whether can request for refund/ replace.... but the quality is solid.
