Digital Angle Gauge DAG-V1 for Measuring and Layout

Great product. $10 less than the one I got at Harbor Freight and 100 times better. And free shipping with Prime. Showed up the day after I ordered it. Measures absolute angles so it works great as a level. But also does relative angles. Easy to read inside or outside, even in direct sunlight. Or in the dark with the backlight. The backlight turns off after a short time to save battery life but the display stays active. Moving it makes the backlight pop back on. Accuracy is exactly as advertised. About +- .2 degrees. Better than a bubble level. If I measure an angle of a surface and it shows 0.8 deg. I can then flip it around to all 3 other sides, and see numbers like 89.2, 89.4, 0.7. Or rotate it 180 to measure the same angle from the other side, and the number is normally +- 0.1 or the same value. There are two arrows that point up and down to indicate which direction is the zero angle. When you turn it upside down to measure an angle from below, the numbers display inverted to make it easy to read. The base is magnetic, but not the sides. Easy to attach to something like a framing square to make it a long reaching level. And it comes with a belt pouch and battery! I couldn't be happier. Perfect simple tool. Doesn't add extra buttons to make it look "better", or lie about its accuracy by displaying extra zeros to get people to buy it. Don't waste your money on those. This is the angle finder and electronic level you are looking for.

Love this item . Works very well when setting up angle or zeroing in a tool or project. Simple and fast. It can even be used to find out the angle of something.

I enjoyed the ease of use of the product, could be a bit more accurate id say. Accuracy is okay. All in all good price for quality. Fits great in hand, versatile.

While this was designed for several other uses I bought the gauge for use in astronomy on my 12" Dobsonian telescope to determine the angle of altitude for locating an object in the sky. The magnet snaps it on the end near my finder scope and I have confirmed its accuracy after comparing its readings to the altitude of Polaris, Sirius, and Arcturus. The margin of error is small enough to not be a problem. Additionally, I have a printed 360 degree layout on the base to determine the azimuth. Once it is polar aligned and the azimuth is set to zero it is easy to use and the magnet provides a great deal of stability as it is attached to the telescope. Its size and adjustability are ideal for helping me to locate a star, a planet, or a nebula in the sky. Not bad for about $20 for the inclinometer and another $10 for the printed azimuth dial. Together you can locate any visible star in the sky!

Necessary tool for woodworking on a table saw with any amount of true accuracy.

Items works well, but I wish all 4 sides were magnetic. It's easy to read and use. It's also very versatile, one day I'm using it to square up my saw, the next I'm checking my driveshaft alignment.

It's small, strong magnet and easy to operate. Used it a few times now on my table saw and it is spot on. Brilliant piece of kit for a good price.
