Get one size up
4 year old is on the tall side and slim and fit a small perfectly. I recommend sizing up because they do shrink. My husband got her a 4t a few months ago this ago and they shrunk in the wash in 2 months of use. So we learned to size up😊

Great Quality But Run Small!
I bought these in a size small for my 4 year old daughter who wears a size 6. Unfortunately, they don't give you a number size guide, so I figured a small would be good. The small is a size 5/6, so they do fit her but a bit snug. I ordered another set in a size medium, 7/8, which are a little big but a much better fit for my daughter than the small size. She's currently 43 inches tall (about 3.5 feet) and 44 lbs. (She's tall for her age!) The quality of the material is great, though. Ever since she's started preschool barely 2 months prior to this purchase, her other leggings and sweat pants have all been getting holes in the butt area. Even wearing the size small which are too much of a perfect fit on her, causing them to stretch more all day than the size medium, we have yet to see one hole!

Fit great
I was very hesitant on getting these leggings but I’m glad I did. I listened to other reviews and got one size up. My daughter could’ve probably fit her regular size (S) but she will definitely fit the medium for longer and I’m sure are more comfy. She’s a little over 4.5 ft and they fit her great. Nice stretch and not see through.

Great leggings
These arrived quickly, fit true to size, great stretch and decent quality. I love the continence of a multipack so my daughter has several pairs to wear under her dresses for fall. Amazing price.

I love the fit and fabric.
My daughter is always hot and these are a good year round weight for her. Thicker leggings make her overheat. They wash and wear well. I have bought them before and will buy them again. They are my favorite girls leggings. They fit true to size. We do not need to size up. They completely cover my daughter, even when she bends and tumbles. As long as they keep using the same fabric and cut, I will buy more every time she outgrows them.
