This is a must-buy! The sound quality compared to the days when I plugged my sky box / phone / tablet into my hifi via a cable is like night and day. Both TV and Spotify are vastly improved. Also, the range is tremendous. We walk all around the house without any bluetooth dropout. Highly recommended.

I have a pretty good classic hifi system and wanted to connect via bluetooth to it to make more of the amp and speakers. The Auris BluMe does the job perfectly. It was well packaged and came complete with cables and power connector. It had good instructions which made connection and set up simplicity itself. In operation there have been no issues with reception and the result is I can now listen to music from other sources (tablet, computer, phone apps) and hear it at a much better sound quality and volume than those devices allow on their own and without going to the expense of purchasing a quality bluetooth speaker which would only make my existing system redundant which was the whole reson for making this purschase. It's a perfect solution and I am very pleased with this purchase.

A brilliant and convenient solution to a really annoying problem of awkward Bluetooth and poor quality sound.We have a great music player, we can control it from anywhere in our home and it provides music to five pairs of speakers around our home; from lots of sources. But Bluetooth connectivity (pre version 5.0) for Deezer, Spotify and such, always had to be room by room and has always been awkward in use. The music might be playing in two or three rooms, but walk from one to another with the phone in your hand and you'd loose the signal. So we'd end up not bothering.Not any more. We have the Auris positioned midway in the house. We have Bluetooth 5.0 phones, that connect even before we are through the front door. It will pair with up to 8 devices, so we even keep a tablet connected for anyone to use (if that day ever comes again when we can have visitors in our home!) and for general "mood" playlists; as well as our computers and laptops.... It even works well with my Fitbit watch!). If someone else is playing music you can't accidentally knock them off. But if they stop, you can play instantly from your own phone or other Bluetooth player. The sound quality is a big improvement over our previous devices.The Auris is small and neat and comes with a practical array of useful cables. It's designed to sit on top of a desk, or your hifi unit, but as you can see from the photos, I wall mounted it in our hallway and buried the cables in the cavity wall; (It fastens by Velcro to the lid of a cold-cream pot, screwed onto the wall to conceal the cable hole). I'm also waiting for a relay from Amazon so that it will switch on and off automatically with the music player. At the moment, although we have a switch, we leave it on permanently. Auris tell me that's OK.IMPORTANT NOTE: The power supply. The unit needs a 5 volt power supply, like the one we use with mobile phones. It is supplied with one, but it's designed for an American power socket, not a UK, Irish or other European type. This wasn't a problem for me, as I wired the unit into a switched circuit in a pattress (box) mounted in the cavity wall (all to code). But you may need to find a separate supply. I didn't mark Auris down for this, because it's a minor issue compared to the improvement in sound quality and convenience that we are now getting.

I tried buying one of the cheaper versions of these and was quite disappointed by the flatness of the sound. I thought I would double down and try this model, I am glad I did, it is like chalk and cheese, this model sounds fabulous and I would highly recommend it.

Needed to connect to 'old' amp. This does the trick wonderfully - simple to set-up, connected first time, quality seems sufficient for my needs - when would-up loud on an ageing system, no distortion can be heard, success.

Initially sceptical but now amazed.I have fairly expensive HiFi separates, albeit over 20 years old. A majority of my songs are now played through Spotify using my Amazon echo, with very limited acoustics.Contemplated upgrading my integrated amplifier to a £400 Denon PMA 600 but saw this Bluetooth adapter to convert my Yamaha DSP, (which cost £500 in 2004, so I didn’t really want to abandon using it completely).Didn’t think that the Bluetooth would be anywhere near as good as a direct source from the CD or vinyl, but the sound quality feeding through my amp and Bose speakers using the Bluetooth was outstanding. Admittedly, you don’t get the depth and precision compared to a Linn LP12, but you won’t be disappointed.If anybody wants to convert an old stereo integrated amp into a Bluetooth receiver, I strongly recommend this little piece of kit.Enjoy….

Unfortunately I had to return this item as it didn’t do the job for which it was intended. However when connected to another source it worked well.Simple to set up and no doubt will be very useful for most people but it sadly didn’t do what I needed it for.

If you want to connect your phone to your old skool amp techniques I’m play some phat jungle at high-quality this is the gadget you need. well worth the money.🫡🔊🔊🔊

Though this is a bit highly priced bluetooth DAC, but it does a pretty good job in producing nice sound quality. I am using it with the digital optical option and the output is directed to a 5.1 converter and from there it leads to a very old F&D 5.1 channel home theater. I am liking the sound that it produces via bluetooth from either my Samsung phone or my IPad. But not to forget if someone is wanting a real audiophile grade audio with a dedicated special proprietor chip like a BurrBrown or Sabre then go for IFi Zen One Hi- Res. bluetooth DAC which is much more costlier than the Auris blume but provides sound which seems out of the world. I've been using this bluMe HD device for a couple of years, streaming first from an iPhone 12 Pro and now an iPhone 17 Pro Max. I'm streaming to a vintage Marantz 2226B connected to a pair of The Smaller Advents. The blueMe is connected to the Marantz via coax into the Aux input. Super impressed with the sound quality, streaming from Pandora, Spotify and Tidal.I've also tested it on a more modern setup - a Denon AVR960 connected to a Bowers Wilkins HTM6 S3 center channel and 4 M1 satellites. I've never loved Denon's HEOS app for music streaming - clunky UI, ongoing Pandora compatibility issues, separate app from the Denon app. Just a mess of a setup, even when it works which is intermittent. So streaming from a phone in the same exact manner using the same exact apps regardless of which system I'm listening to is a nice benefit. Sound quality with the bluMe HD on this rig is also outstanding.Setup is simple and the range is fantastic. My Marantz is on the middle floor of a 3-story, 4200 sq ft house. No problem staying connected from anywhere in the house or front/back patios. So no worries if I wander off with my phone to go do something while others are listening in the living room.WiiM Pro comparison: A colleague suggested trying out the WiiM Pro. Specs and reviews suggest this would be a higher performing lossless streaming solution vs. bluMe's bluetooth 5.3. I did a more or less side-by-side comparison of the bluMe and the WiiM Pro on my Marantz by connecting both devices simultaneously - the bluMe HD connected to the Aux input, the WiiM Pro connected to the Tape 2 input. For bluMe, I was streaming from Tidal's iphone app; for the WiiM, I was using the WiiM Home app to stream Tidal. Switching between the two was pretty clean - just pause one app, flip the Marantz input, hit play on the other app.I went back and forth listening to Of Monsters and Men (Wild Roses) and Fleetwood Mac (Silver Springs). It would take a few seconds to make the switch between devices, so a quick transition. I couldn't discern any significant difference in sound quality. Obviously there are a handful of devices impacting overall sound - phone, connection device, receiver, speakers. Whatever might be the limiting factor in sound quality, it didn't appear to be the bluMe vs. WiiM Pro. Both sounded great.Functionally, the WiiM Pro is more feature rich, but I don't use most of those features. And, like Denon's HEOS app, the connected services within the WiiM app have been reported to have occasional issues. I didn't experience any app integration issues, but the WiiM does periodically get "lost" on my wireless network and I have to repeat the 'add a device' process. Overall, I prefer to just use the Tidal, Pandora, Spotify app on my phone and not have to mess with another app/app integration.For the price, hard to beat the bluMe HD for simplicity and sound quality.
